Guest
Does anyone know of any good associate classes that run on a Saturday that I could audition for? I can't do a Sunday anymore as I work and can't get the time off:(
Anna C
I was going to suggest Ballet Cymru but are they Sunday classes?
Guest
Yes they are a Sunday. I go to ballet Cymru at the moment and absolutely love it but I just havnt got enough holiday hours to book off all the Sundays needed for next year:( absolutely gutted, wish I could give up work but then I would have any money to pay for dance, it's just a vicious circle
Anna C
Oh, what a shame. :-( Probably a silly question, but could you get a Saturday job instead, so you could work and still go to Ballet Cymru?
lollylamb1
London Junior/Senior Ballet, Central Associates, depends what area of the country you are coming from?
Anna C
Bit of a trek from South Wales, I imagine! :-)
Piccolo
You have to have a love of travel as a Welsh dancer. Can be done on the cheap with the Mega Bus apparently...
lollylamb1
I'm not sure how old you are, but there's Royal Ballet School Associates in Bath or Birmingham, Elmhurst Associates in Birmingham, Tring Park Associates, Ballet Associates in Leicester, Northern Ballet Associates in Leeds. Royal Academy of Dance Associates in Birmingham. Like Piccolo says, living in Wales you will have to travel a lot since there's not much ballet in Wales.
