FullContretemps
Haha I only threw in foot size because I always feel like I don't have time to stretch my feet on quick petit allegro exercises. (I have 6 1/2 feet and am 5'7") It feels like I don't have time to get far enough off the floor for them to stretch before the music says I should be down again! Probably just because I am lazy though This is all getting very interesting!

dramascientist
Sorry folks don't want to make you feel bad but DD is 5'7 and gets about a foot off the floor when she jumps! I don't know where she gets it from though I certainly couldn't jump like that!

Anjuli_Bai
As I understand what Laws was saying in his book - it isn't about the height of the jump but the length of the feet. A longer foot takes longer to peel off the ground - but doesn't affect how high off the ground. We are talking about time.
