You never know,Swanprincess. I grew another 2 inches after that age. Your proportions might "sort themselves out", if you know what I mean. My suggestion would be to ask other teachers their opinions. You can`t just go by what one person says,and don`t let it worry you too much.!!

I agree. Have you asked your teacher - or a dance physio - for an honest appraisal of your physique for classical ballet? It's important to know whether it's a question of aesthetics - i.e. someone preferring the look of a shorter torso - or whether this is a physical obstacle which is likely to affect your dancing and therefore your aspirations to have a classical career.

 

If it's the latter, then it might be a good time to think about starting Contemporary (or doing more if you already do it). Purely to add more strings to your bow, and give you more options for the future.
