smallbythesea
dd had audition last month and had to wear pink tights. she has another audition next month and says bare legs.does this just mean leotard and ballet slippers or do you think she needs ballet socks? smallbythesea
swanprincess
If I were you, i'd take a pair of ballet socks with you to the audition, see whether the other auditionees are wearing them. If in doubt, there will probably be assistants at the audition you could ask. Best of luck to your dd for the audition!! xx

JulieW
In that case - if it says bare legs it just means, not tights. So wear socks with ballet shoes (bare feet in shoes is not really the done thing ). Much easier to see what's going on with the legs when they're not wearing tights!
Pas de Quatre
It is because in some places they ask them to remove their socks so they can actually see the bare feet.
JulieW
That's true PDQ - convertible tights are fine for that too, but they seem to like bare legs for younger students (but not all schools - some ask for tights)
