New season at the Place, spring 2024

This has just been announced. There are a couple of items I thought would be of interest to readers here. 

 

Mark Bruce Dance is back.  His new work is a double bill including Frankenstein, featuring Jonathan Goddard as the monster.  26 - 28th March

Phoenix Dance theatre are also on in March, with a triple bill that includes part of Dane Hurst's Requiem (recorded music though) and a new piece by Miguel Altunaga. 22 to 23 March.

Just had an email from the Mark Bruce Company …well on Tuesday 

I thought I’d seen something about the Place on the Forum so just found this thread. 
Im going to book this as I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this Company before. Dracula in Brighton …exceptional work…and the Odyssey at Wilton’s Music Hall….a fiddle to get to but such an atmospheric building which the Company made the most of. 
I nearly got lost there trying to find the loos and felt more than a little unsettled …..it really did feel like a ghost might suddenly emerge from the walls!! 
Anyway the Odyssey was also worth the trek totally absorbing as dramatic dance theatre. 
I thought the Company had disbanded as a casualty of Covid era but glad to see they are back. 
Im expecting this to be the best Frankenstein to date!!
