I was told the only options were French or English. So we had a tour in slow, stilted English 🤣🤷🏻♀️ I think the French are actually a bit more open to speaking English nowadays than when I first visited in 1968! My friend and I thought we could speak French reasonably well, but whenever we asked for directions the answer would be in bullet speed French and all we could do was follow the pointed finger in the general direction and then ask again.
