SWAN LAKE DREAMS – A PERFORMANCE PROJECT FOR BALLET STUDENTS

GET INVOLVED / BALLET TRAINING

 

This year, Birmingham Royal Ballet is rolling out its large-scale performance project Swan Lake Dreams to ballet students of all ages and abilities in two of its touring regions as well as from across the Midlands.

Auditions will take place during spring/early summer 2019, with students from the Birmingham, Plymouth and Southampton areas invited to audition for a role in a performance on the main stage of their local theatre in early 2020, alongside some of our Company dancers. 

 

Performance dates
Mayflower Theatre, Southampton: Sunday 2 February 2020
Birmingham Hippodrome: Sunday 23 February 2020 
Theatre Royal, Plymouth: Tuesday 31 March 2020

 

Audition workshops are now on sale.

 

SOUTHAMPTON AUDITION WORKSHOPS

Audition date: Sunday 9 June 2019 
(Auditions will take place between 10am and 5pm; audition times will be allocated after the closing date of Wednesday 29 May 2019)
Some students may be requested to stay all day for a call back at 5pm.

The Mayflower Theatre are covering the cost of the audition workshops for the first 100 audition applicants.

Has anyone done this before? What was the rehearsal demand like? It will be audition year for dd so wondering if it would be too much
