now voyager
Are feet visible from the first row of the stalls at Sadler's Wells (for a not-particularly tall person)? If not, how far back should one sit? Thanks, and my apologies if this is redundant--I did search but couldn't find anything on it.
Jan McNulty
Well - it depends on what the front row is. For Northern Ballet, it tends to be row BB and I (at 5'3") have never had a problem. For BRB, it tends to be row A and that is fine too.
now voyager
Thanks, Janet. It's actually for San Francisco Ballet, which seems to start with Row A, so I think I'll chance it.
Jan McNulty
I would love to have seen SFB but due to a clash of dates and no Sat mat, it's a no go for me. I do hope you will let us know what you think of the performance. BTW, Now Voyager is absolutely one of my favourite films - I weep buckets every time! Don Q Fan
Certainly never ever choose row A at the Royal Opera House you only see from mid calf up - a total disgrace for the money!
DavidW
I sat front row for Matthew Bourne's Cinderella a couple of years ago (think it was AA or BB) and struggled to see their feet whilst being considerate of the people behind me...! Reckon Row A should be fine though.
