primrose
Can anybody recomend a good dance physio in the south west of England. Heathers ankle is sore at the front. It doesnt appear to be getting any better even after rest, elevation and ice. I have no idea what is wrong with it other than maybe over working it. Balletmad97
The Treatment Centre (Movement Solutuions) in Truro looks impressive, they would be worth giving a ring. www.thetreatmentcentre.co.uk Physio Conditioning in Devon has a good word. I understand that Mr Payne was a proffesional dancer prior to being a sports/dance physio. www.physioconditioning.com Ashburton Physio in Devon specialises in not only sports/dance injuries but in childrens injuries so that would be ideal. www.ashburtonphysio.co.uk You can get more information from www.danceuk.org/medical-practitioners-directory/
tabitha
Sorry I can't recommend a dance physio in the southwest. Apologies for hijacking your post Primrose, but would be interested to hear if anyone can recommend one around the Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Grantham areas as well.
Pas de Quatre
http://www.danceagain.org/ This is a link to the foundation set up by Jack Widdowson's family, Jack made an amazing recovery from his injuries. It says they have a network of doctors and physios for dancers. Perhaps they can help.
drdance
Having searched the Dance UK practitioners register for the south west those who look the most useful for your situation seem to be Paris Payne (chartered physiotherapist) http://www.physioconditioning.com/, Jenny Wigram (Chartered physiotherapist) http://www.ashburtonphysio.co.uk/about.html, or Dr Roderick Jaques (physician) http://www.winfieldhospital.co.uk/treatments/physiotherapy/sports-injury-clinic.aspx
