Socks or tights?

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum but have read some of the topics before so I decided to make an account!

 

I have two dd's: dd1 aged 13 and dd2 aged 8. Although dd2 is more classical than dd1, she would like to audition for the Tring park classical ballet academy.

 

So my question is: should a 13 year old wear socks or tights? (She would be comfortable wearing both as at her local dance school she sometime wears socks in the summer.)

Unless specified otherwise, tights for a 13 year old (and ballet socks for an 8 year old should she decide to audition!).

Just to add that convertible tights are the best of both worlds, as they can easily be rolled up should the audition panel want to look at bare feet.

My dd is 13 and will be wearing tights as that is what I assume other girls her age would be wearing. However, if she could I am sure she would wear socks as she finds it more comfortable.
