  1. And who is 'George Lamb' anyway? (was stunned when he had to ask who 'this Kenneth MacMillan' was!).

Ann, I think George Lamb represented the Man on the Clapham Omnibus (that dates me!) I'm sure he knew the answer but had to pose it for the many watchers who might not. As for the re-runs all we can do is

    and hope.

  2. Fiona, I've moved your query into a new topic as it deserves one to itself!

You are right on both counts. There doesn't seem to be a built-in print function here. I use a Mac but I assume that Windows is similar in that if you hit Print you will print out the whole sequence of postings. The simplest workaround is to just to drag over the text with your mouse to highlight it, then do Copy, and then Paste the text into whatever word processor or text editor you normally use. From there you can save it or print it. I'm afraid that will have to do for the moment.

  6. You may have noticed that the menu bar has been simplified by the removal of various items that we haven't as yet been using (Calendar, Blogs, Pages, Chat). Think of it as Spring Cleaning!

Something I've added which may or may not be useful is the Popular Tags panel on the right. If posts are tagged (e.g. Royal Ballet for any RB-related new topics) then clicking the Royal Ballet tag in the panel will bring up a list of all such postings. This is potentially very useful, but obviously only if people use them and that's just one more thing to have to do, albeit in a public-spirited kind of way.

I would propose leaving the panel there for a while and encouraging people to use tags and then we can discuss further and see if it's worth retaining - all of these things can be switched on and off.
