  2. Have just answered my own question - the following is taken from the Bolshoi website - From 29 June to 17 August 2013 the Bolshoi Ballet Company’s traditional three-week season at London’s Royal Opera House will take place.
  3. Does anyone know if The Bolshoi will be at The Coliseum or RoH in July/August, please? I believe the programme will contain The Sleeping Beauty, Flames of Paris, La Bayadere and other short piece ballets.
  4. I bought my tickets for Onegin 23rd January as soon as booking opened, hoping to see the stellar combination of Kobborg/Cojocaru. Only noticed this week that Reilly is replacing Kobborg on that date. Now trying to reschedule for 30th January in the hope that Johan will have recovered from his injury by then. He is also due to dance Onegin on 2nd February but RoH website says Sold Out for that one.
  5. "Finally, anyone hankering for a sighting of ex-Royal Ballet wunderkind Sergei Polunin, back in Russia since he left the company almost a year ago, will want to note his starring role in Peter Schaufuss's Hamlet (at London's Bloomsbury Theatre, 15-24 May) which unusually promises dance-drama laced with spoken text. Schaufuss has, let's say, interesting form. Consider yourself warned." The Independent , 6 January 2013 I think Midnight Express will be adventurous enough for me, don't know about this one. Have watched a trailer and it seems like a very odd concept. Has anyone seen a previous staging? Any views?
  6. I got my Mikhailovsky tickets on 9th January. Past experience has proven that eno are poor at some pre-publicity, so I was checking with eno website daily! Website still says that the casting for 26th is tbc, but am hoping it'll be Osipova/Vasiliev. Ballet News has given a full schedule, see link - http://balletnews.co.uk/mikhailovsky-ballets-london-tour-casting/ - but of course all could be subject to change. (Am booked for 26/3, 30/3 and 2/4 - yey!) Now keeping an eye out for The Bolshoi at RoH between 29 July and 17 August - programme is likely to include Sleeping Beauty, Flames of Paris, La Bayadere, and others. I believe that the wonderful Andrey Merkuriev will be dancing - http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/groups/6335594233/ and http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEEzUXN3nPUR9-u3Tc9pMg96a5SQEUWH6&feature=mh_lolz (hope you can open these!).
