Hi, I am after some advice. My DD is 6 years old and currently at a good local dance school. She is doing classes in all areas of Performing arts but this is taking up a lot of our time. She attends x2 classes every day after school with lots of hanging around. I am an ex professional dancer and can see she has a great deal of potential (without being bias 😉 ) Tring Park is approx. 1.5 hours drive from us but I have been looking at the Saturday class programme and it would allow her to do all her classes in one go. I would keep her at the local school for a few classes if this is possible ? What are peoples experiences with TPA while continuing at their local dance school ? Is it worthwhile? Would it enhance her progression or overwhelm her ? She has a lot of energy and loves her dancing so I am not overly concerned that she would not have the stamina . I am hoping she can have a more relaxed week if we were to move a few disciplines’ to the Saturday at TPA. Do TRP associates allow dancers to take part in festival etc. with their own local dance school? Any advice would be greatly received.

Thank you for your detailed reply🙏 it sounds as lovely as I expected it to. I still haven’t heard back from anyone yet so that’s a little frustrating. I am sure they are busy with audio s for next years intake.

Are there any intensive ballet courses for 6 year olds ?

Hi, my daughter is turning 6 years month and already has the performance bug! I am looking into my daughter starting Tring associate classes on a Saturday. I have registered her but heard nothing back as yet. She will still do her normal week day after school classes at her own dance school . Does any one else’s child do this and if so is it worth it ? Also, anyone know when we will hear back ? thanks in advance x
