I took my daughter to the Baby ballet franchise classes from 18 months old , it was very much like a parent and toddler group but with repetitive songs and actions we loved it , parents stayed with the child and joined in the songs and little dances . No obligation to purchase any uniform or merch (at the end of the day it is a business ) but I remember feeling I got value for money and my daughter and I have happy memories of it .

After reading some of the other threads I would make sure any health insurance covers both physical and mental health .

The country is heading for an obesity crisis childrens weight is an emotive issue but , I think there’s a difference between alerting a parent that their child is statistically overweight based on their BMI than encouraging a young dancer whose is no doubt already slim whose BMI is healthy to lose weight making them unhealthy.

My daughter was in Northern Ballets touring production of the nutcracker last year , Northern Ballet auditioned children from her ballet school which was in the town they were performing , different children performed in each tour venue , it was quite a long process auditions around feb performances Nov , it was a lovely experience She did 6 performances and loved every minute.

Are these still available? what age do you think the XS fits please ?

It was only a couple of days after think audition on the Saturday and heard by the Wednesday.

She was great if she was disappointed she hid it well , she has a place at ballet boost in September anyway so I’m sure that softened the blow she still wants to try for BTUK associates but I’m not sure I can face another audition 🤣

Haven’t heard yet maybe today should know by tomorrow they said a week . I almost don’t want to know 🤣

My daughter enjoyed the audition but I’m not hopeful she’ll get a place there were quite a number of children, for what I imagine is not a lot of places in yr 5 . it’s quite intimidating seeing the royal ballet junior associates auditioning aswell I don’t think she can compete with them . wish I had applied last year as think she would have had a better chance but , what will be will be , I’m sure she’ll get over it is she doesn’t get in.

Anyone going to the rescheduled audition this Saturday at Birmingham our time is earlier and there was more information in the email this time anyone know if it’s easy to park there ?

I asked about cost on another forum they said around £160-170 per term (I think they meant half term ) as I’m sure it works out just under £30 per session .

Could anyone give me an idea of how much Elmhurst young dancer and ballet boost associates fees are please, can’t find it on the website . Many thanks

Thanks for the reply the audition has been postponed due to the snow so isn’t until mid April now but will give it a go .

Hi my daughter is for yr 5 wondered if it’s actually worth is as if the yr4 children automatically move into year 5 I imagine there aren’t many spaces .
