March 14 was the notification of results from 2022. No feedback was given for the audition videos and no formal feedback is given for the intensive either.

@HLH Good luck to her! I’m sure students in each level will vary from year to year, so experiences will also be varied.

My DD attended summer 2022 for 2 weeks in level Avance. She did not enjoy the program. We assumed the skill level would be high and intense but were disappointed. I was able to observe classes and saw this to be true and not just her perception. Several dancers consistently could not keep up with combinations. A couple dancers were injured and would just sit out and play on their phones during class instead of paying attention. They said all classes would be in English yet there was always at least one teacher per day who would only speak to the French students or would give feedback in French only. There is no investment in their summer program because POBS does not recruit for year round. If your goal is to enjoy the culture and make it a vacation, by all means apply and have a once in a lifetime experience. If the goal is for your daughter to get top notch training, there are better options in my opinion.

@Stephalyss I’m wondering if they go by level. We got our email yesterday. My daughter is 2 weeks, non-boarder and the email is specific to her level because of the attached files.

Checking if anyone received information yet that they said would come out this week? Just making sure I didn’t miss the email.

@MCM I can't comment on the competitiveness of summer course as this will be my daughter's first summer, however stats from 2019 show 295 students were selected from a total of 681 applications. Not sure how many total were selected for 2022 but there were 800 applicants for this summer. Tuition with boarding for 2 weeks: 1962 euros Tuition without boarding for 2 weeks: 1362 euros

The website said all results would be sent to the email on file on 3/14, so maybe check your junk email as well? I’ve heard that in the past everyone finds out the same day, so I would email them if you find nothing in any of your email folders. Good luck 🙏🏼

My DD is 15 and was accepted into Avance for 2 weeks. We are still waiting on a decision from another summer course but most likely will commit to POBS!
