They ask for student’s height (and i think parents height too). No weight.
I dont recall it asking for parents height (unless thats for the older ones) just the students. We applied for age 10/11 category

When you apply, a confirmation page comes up. Followed later by an email thanking you for your application and that you'll hear back after the closing date. Good luck!
Hi. I got the confirmation page but no email. I have emailed and they have confirmed they received the application.

I got an email for summer to say I had applied. But I didn't get one for Easter.....whichbjs why I wondered if I had applied when the results came out!!!! Insent them an email and they were quick to reply. Sometimes their emails go in to my junk folder too.
Ok thank you. I will double check

Hello. Does anyone know that once applied, do you receive an email confirmation as we have not received anything
-
I have received a reply which confirms its for the older ones at this point so i am just keeping a look out for anything they might have for her age.

Another vote for Moorland. Excellent teaching and it’s a very full week of dancing. The performance at the end was incredible. It is also selective but they do take younger students.
Thank you. DD’s friend attended Moorlands this summer and had a great time. It is definitely an option. We like the look of Malvern too but its a bit further away for us. Harrogate is only 1 hour so ideal. I am sure once she has done it, further afield wont be as daunting.

I have just seen their instagram post just now it says from age 11, so they must have changed it this year. The scholarships are from Year 7 so it looks like she will miss out again. She has waiting to be old enough to attend but its not meant to be. We will just have to hope there are pop ups she can attend. She wants to attend a residential summer school and this one is close to where we live and has a great reputation.

My dd took her grade 4 exam when she was 9 so there will be some. I guess if they’ve seen you at something like a pop up event and they like you they might let you go to the residential even if you haven’t reached grade 4.Thank you. I have emailed them but hadnt heard back.

Does anyone gave any details on this in terms of T&C’s? The course is open from age 9 but it also stipulates they must have passed Grade 4. Is that correct? Would a 9 year old have passed Grade 4 so young? Has anyone had a DC attend that hadn’t passed grade 4? My DC is currently on Grade 3 so nowhere near.

Interesting thread as i only discovered these existed last weekend! I cant believe these work. Are they reliable even on “heavier” days?

I’ve just emailed RB finance about this! We’ve received nothing either. I’m sure they’ll send them soon 😊
I am sure i read somewhere invoices will be sent in September. I know you can pay in full or in monthly instalments but i was wanting to know if you can pay in 2 instalments. I vaguely remember reading that somewhere you can pay in September and December but its not in the handbook. Unless its for another associate course. Hopefully we’ll hear soon. As its not long away, i hope you all your DC’s joining this year have the best time.

Degas Leotard in pale blue. It is a size 10A but would suit a child age 7-8 due to small sizing.
Unable to add photo due to file size so message if interested. -

Hi.
First time applying so excuse my silly question.
The handbook you get, is it emailed or a proper book sent in the post? 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Hi @EmBthere is a thread called
which has lots of questions in for New Associates which you might find helpful about hair, uniform etc. Worth a read 😊

I might be interested in the skirt. What measurements length and waist?

There is already a group for year 4 and 5 JAs. I’m sure they’d welcome new comers.
Thanks but I cant find it 😬

I thought it might be worth linking to this thread in case any of the new JA parents have any general questions. It was started a couple of years ago (and some things may have changed due to Covid of course) but could still be useful if anyone wants any advice on uniform/when to expect more information etc...
Thanks i remember finding this last year and reading it. I will have another read.
Any Leeds folk on here want to do our own group before we start? Including any who are already JA’s? 🤗

It was in her mum’s junk folder!!! 😱 Y6 Eastleigh...YES! After two straight nos!!! What a great life lesson in perseverance this has taught her already!
Great to hear she didn't give up and tried again! Congratulations to your pupil
-
DD is a yes for a Year 5 place in Leeds. Last year was a straight no so a bit shocked
Congratulations to the other yes’ and SWL and i am sorry for the No’s.

@Balletbuds80 Yes! We weren't going to try again, after two nos, but then decided at the very last moment that we should go for the hat trick...just so we knew! I could just tell she wasn't REALLY happy to give up on JAs. We went Eastleigh first choice (as opposed to second choice after London) this year. Hopefully we'll hear soon so we can all be put out of our agony!
I think its better than wondering “what if?”

Nope! 🤣 No more views since the original ones weeks ago for my pupil, so they must have made their final decision then.
@MissEmilyi remember you from last years thread. Is it the same pupil as last year who has applied?
