Yes last year results for London were out exactly 3 weeks after the auditor day. But as you say, many many more kids to assess

I would guess they’d get through the videos within a couple of weeks. There aren’t that many auditioning for year 6, and as others have said, they most definitely won’t be sitting though the whole video for each and every child. If they’re not interested after 5mins or so they’re not going to watch it through for the sake of it. Same as in the real life auditions, they only focus on a few kids after the first few mins. They know EXACTLY what they’re looking for

You’re right Sissone. But maybe photos could at least whittle the numbers down? They look at thousands of those for intensives! Either way let’s hope it never comes to it..

That would be a good compromise Millicent. I think so much of it is about physique at this stage that video/ photos could suffice if it absolutely came to it.

It would have been a great chance as a non-JA to be considered for the lower school too. But got to keep all of it in perspective of course

My DS Is doing to be so upset, especially as summer is probably hanging in the balance too. I wonder if the JA auditions will go ahead, as that would be another blow.

Thanks BalletBoyMumma! Unfortunately my DS is the opposite - loves the dancing but is super anxious about the social side. Luckily we live very close to WL so he doesn’t need to board, but residential must be an amazing experience. I’m telling him pretty much everyone there won’t know anyone, so will be keen to strike up friendships!

DS (10) has a yes for both spring and summer this year but only made it to SWL for JAs. He’s now worried that he won’t live up to his photos in real life!!
