  1. Black Swan (2010)

A repressed ballet dancer leads a sheltered life, devoted entirely to her art. She pursues the lead role in a production of Swan Lake, but the director convinces her she will only be capable of dancing the part if she embraces her darker impulses. This leads her into a destructive relationship with a rival that threatens her sanity. Drama, starring an Oscar-winning Natalie Portman. With Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel and Winona Ryder
Sky Cinema Superheroes HD (Virgin 402)

But it was still there long after the big re-opening - only disappeared a few years ago (a year or two before Open Up started, I think).

A couple of months ago I took a young child to Little Red by Northern Ballet in the Linbury. After the performance (excellent) we walked round the whole building, she was thrilled to do so and the staff could not have been more helpful and kind. They pointed out all sorts of things inculding the two chandaliers in the crush room which they said came from the one big one. We had a great time and young child can't wait to be old enough to go to 'grown up ballet'.

The email I had from the Coliseum says that there are two intervals. Is this not going to be the case?

This is part of the email I got about tonight's performance:

'The performance starts at 19.30 and lasts approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, including two intervals.'

I imagine they could be wrong?

Unfortunately the videos the Foundation has uploaded on YouTube are not that easy to find but hopefully this link will help.

Thank you for this. I greatly enjoyed watching '2017-02-19 Raymond Pas de Deux' in which Donald Macleary and Darcey Bussell were saying how they had got it wrong and that these are the correct steps! I do admire dancers willingness to learn all the time.

I was watching at the Preston odeon and there was a transmission break of over five minutes in the last act and just at the most crucial point (for me anyway). I'd really enjoyed all the ballet but I was so looking forward to seeing Yasmine and Matthew as the Bluebirds. I thought their initial pas de deux was stunning and then just as Matthew was preparing to start his solo the transmission went and didn’t resume until little red riding hood so we missed virtually all the Bluebirds. I was gutted. Did other cinemas have the same problem?

I am sorry to say (for you) that there were no such problems at the cinema screening I went to and the bluebirds were totally wonderful. Hope for better for you next time.
