I saw this on Facebook yesterday, a bit of a wait but I am looking forward to it already.
We're excited to announce MADDADDAM, a new ballet from Wayne McGregor inspired by the works of Margaret Atwood with music by Max Richter. The ballet will be premiered by The National Ballet of Canada this November, and have its UK premiere with The Royal Ballet in 2022

I thought she looked very young in the documentary.

This program is now available on demand so I hope you all can see and enjoy. Available until March 31, 2020
Also the whole farewell performance was broadcasted here in Japan. She was incredible given that she was 54 at her retirement, and it was so touching to see her with Irek Mukhamedov and Federico Bonneli.
Yes and her new season will open with Sir Peter Wright's Swan Lake. Here is the whole program of her season at National Ballet of Japan.

How fantastic to see the whole farewell performance.
It looks like a great season with NBJ.

Was it well-attended, Janite? I just love the publicity poster but wasn't tempted to actually go.
It was pretty full. People around me were saying that it was not what was expected but that they liked it.
While it is a work with flaws, (due I imagine to the serious illness of Kibwe, the director, half way through) I came away moved and I definitely plan to see more of Rambert's work.
Also, while I do not do well with loud music but the ear plugs worked very well.

On the way back from this interesting ballet/dance. A mix of film and live dance on the themes of loss and refugees. The film told the story and the dance the emotion. I am left travelling home with the rhythm, small staccato moves and thoughts of what it it is like to lose so much and yet the expression of it becomes beautiful.

Thank you Pas de Quatre and Alison. I thought it wasn't streamed for 24 hours, not that it would disappear. Disappointed but hopeful that I will be able to see it some time in the future.

I did have to sign in first, as usual.
After I sign in this link only leads me to rehersals, not the full ballet. Do you have another link that I could try, thanks.

I have tried signing in to the bolshoi ballet page and it isn't showing Giselle, can anyone help please?
Nor can I find it on youtube. I was unable to see it on Sunday and I do hope that doesnt' mean I have missed compleatly.

Really enjoying this afternoon's Triple Bill but can someone help mw out with casting? I recognise most of the principals but not all of the others and Sky doesn't show the cast until right at the end (and then the picture is usually minimised to make room for trailers).
Linda
is this it?

Glad you enjoyed it, I did too when I saw it last time it was showed.
Do you have the date, is it at the end? Then it could be searched for on the web.I think when I watched it I took photo's of the cast list at the end and then I could refer back to them.

That's interesting. The Friday screening is on the screen guide but not on their website. In fact, there's very little on the website, apart from pictures. You'd think a media company would try a little harder to keep their customers informed.
Linda
I agree it could be so much better. I wonder if the Friday showing is not on the wesite yet as it is over a week away?
This is the link I use to search Sky Arts for ballet shows. I can't remember how I got hold of it. Sometimes it goes a little funny and doens't work for 24 hours but it always seems to come back.

Right at the moment, the video seems unplayable - and, despite the link on a Tweet from Cathy, it's shown as 'unavailable.' I trust that matters will improve.
hope this helps

Can we stop the racist comments about Chinese people? They're very hurtful.
I have no wish to be racist, though it may well be that I accidentally am. Could you please say which comments were racist so I can be sure to express myself differently another time.

Many thanks for the heads up on this one.
It is a pleasure and I am so glad you enjoyed it. I enjoy being able to share the experience.
As I am new to ballet I had not come across Mikayo before and I found her dancing entrancing.
I imagine this is one I will keep and watch again.
