  1. You can definitely do both, I know of others who have done this. We will have a difficult decision to make if she were lucky enough to be offered a place in Bath. I wish I'd applied to Birmingham but I didn't even know about Elmhurst until after we had applied to Royal, then her dance teacher said she wanted her to also apply for Elmhurst! Now she has got in and been to a class she just loves it. Dance teacher said it might be possible request to switch JA centre. I'm not worrying too much at this stage as I know it's a very slim chance anyway!
  2. @Dancermom my DD is starting at Elmhurst in September too and she was there on Saturday. She said it was amazing! She is there this Saturday too. We applied for Bath JA because it's nearer but now I'm wishing we'd applied to Birmingham because apparently they can do both. I didn't realise at the time. She's got her heart set on Elmhurst now she loves it!
  3. Oh what a long wait for you Bunny! I am not even checking yet as we are Bath and the audition wasn't until 23rd May so I think we'll be a couple more weeks yet. It seems from previous posts that the emails usually arrive around 5/6pm so keep refreshing. (Whilst drinking wine!)
  4. Yes we have it too and we live in Gloucestershire! Sounds like they've added it to the page of everyone who is the correct age. I don't think it has anything to do with the outcome of the JA auditions.
  5. Oh yes my DD said they had made friends and she remembered her from the audition! ❤
  6. More than 1! 😲 😂 Does your DDs name start with a D?
  7. That's lovely that they enjoyed it so much! (Did you spot the long haired bloke? 😂) She has her heart set on Elmhurst now so I don't think the RBS results matter any more!
  8. Fairydust they must have been in the same class? We just got a bit more information our of DD. She demonstrated a beautiful butterfly dance routine that they learnt. It looked amazing! I can't believe they learnt that in 1 hour!
  9. My DD is yr is 4 and so maybe they do the years separately. Also her good friend who has got in is a boy also yr 4 and we are really hoping they will be in the same class but he has been given the 22nd and 29th for free lessons so not looking good. (We have this week and 15th). What time was your class? Ours was 8.45. Does anyone know if yr 4 girls and boys are separated or together?
  10. My DD was in the free class this morning. She said her class was only the new kids. That there were somewhere between 12 and 16 and they were all girls. She made a new friend who she remembered from the audition. She said it was amazing and she loved it! ❤
  11. Thanks Pinkpip! Fairydust we must have been at the same audition so might recognise you. I wish I could come tomorrow but it's the school fete and I have to help (in the rain probably!)
  12. Thank you @Pinkpip100 that is really helpful. My DD is very excited about her taster lesson tomorrow. She has a stinking cold and has been quite ill today and had to stay off school. I know she wouldn't miss it for the world though, so I hope she'll be ok tomorrow! Getting ready for the early start tomorrow to get there for 8.45, about 1hr 40 mins journey. @Pinkpip100 do you know if we can park on site in the morning? At the audition we had to park at the cricket ground. @Fairydust my DH is taking her tomorrow. Look out for the Dad with very long hair! Hopefully I'll see you next week.
  13. We heard about a jazz class and we are really hoping they can do this too as my DD would love it! Maybe it's an optional extra?
  14. Hope they give us a bit more info on Saturday too. We have auditioned and accepted a place and we literally know nothing about it! 😂
  15. We have got 8th and 15th too! My DH will he taking her this week but hopefully I'll be going on 15th. How exciting!!!
  16. @Hazel thank you that is really helpful. I was trying to work out the order. We are waiting for Bath so a while to go yet!
  17. That's why they have to stand in all those simple positions right at the beginning of the audition then. Sounds like they make up their mind in that first bit!
  18. That is really interesting @ExpatB that they can spot the ones they want so quickly, and when it seems they do such simple things in the audition!
  19. @Sally-Anne that is what I thought, there must be at least a chance! Well it will be interesting to see if any of the little ones on here get in. There seems to be a few. 🤞🤞
  20. I didn't realise it made it harder to get in for August born. Mine isn't 8 until right at end of August. I thought maybe it would be an advantage if she is so young in the group but dances really well, she would stand out. I am being too optimistic maybe!! She has already been offered a place at Elmhurst so we don't mind either way now but would be amazing if she got in. ❤ Good luck to all the 7 year olds!
  21. Ok thanks everyone, we were Bath which was 23rd may so in that case we'll be near the end. I won't start frantically refreshing emails for a couple of weeks then or I'll wear my phone out! 😂 Will be exciting to share results as they come in! Good luck everyone. 🤞🤞🤞
  22. So is it 2-3 weeks after each audition for all results? So they come out in order of auditions? Or do they all come out at the same time 2-3 weeks after all auditions are finished?
  23. @Fairydust my friends daughter is one of the youngest in year 5 and she was in with lots of year 4s so they definitely mix them. My DD is end of August for year 4 and was second from last in the last group!
  24. It said we would get invited to 2 of the 4 dates. We will definitely be going. Does anyone know, where you find out information about cost/funding?
