  1. Yes they are younger than my daughter then, she is currently year 8 at school and 12 yrs old. She has a long two weeks ahead until her audition !
  2. I don’t even know what level my daughter would be 🤨! Maybe tomorrow’s the day !
  3. I don’t know how it works! But I’m constantly on refresh 😊, my daughters CAT recall is 13th April but she will find out by 15th! So doesn’t have long to wait for that one, but would love to know about associates as she auditioned for those too. Was it a younger one who has had a yes for the CAT already? Well done to them! X
  4. Hi My daughter is at York Dance Scholars, she does ballet , jazz and contemporary . She absolutely loves all the classes and the teachers are fantastic. They do change the jazz teachers quite frequently but all the ones my daughter has had have been fantastic, it’s the same contemporary teacher week in week out. They do seem to get a lot of holidays but that gives us the flexibility for shows etc. My youngest is going to audition this year she’s only 8 but will be 9 by the start of a new year and she would love to get in esp for the contemporary classes! Hope that helps a little x
  5. It does seem a long wait! My oldest daughter has a CAT recall and thats April 13th , which seems so far away as she also auditioned on Sunday for Associates, it’s going to be a long three weeks 😬
  6. Thank you, I think it does sound strange and my Dd says she knows someone who has a CAT audition this Wednesday?! So who knows , just hope we don’t have to wait until after that audition to find out about the associate auditions! I don’t think my daughter would mind giving up festivals at all but I just worry about the commitment , we live an hour away from Leeds and I have two younger children who also are very busy with activities 😬 but I can see it’s an amazing opportunity if she was to get chosen x
  7. My two daughters do festivals and my youngest is 8, I have found the festivals we do to be really friendly and all the children encourage each other, in terms of what the adjudicator is looking for I have no idea! Some seem to want technique and others rather would have a lovely face and performance . Is there a few from her school that do festivals? I would say don’t worry at all and just enjoy it, once she has the bug she will want a whole host of dances and that’s when it becomes expensive in my opinion! X
  8. Hi My daughter has a recall for the Northern Ballet Cat Scheme in April, is anyone in the same situation and does anyone have any info/tips/advice please! Her audition date seems like such a long time away, as her associate audition was yesterday x
  9. My daughter was 9.30am not 9am ( it’s been a long day!) good luck to us all x
  10. What a great way to look at it, and they are only young so to get this far is fabulous! My eldest had her recall today and her CAT one in April and I think she will take a no harder than my youngest 😬
  11. Oh no 😟my daughter said everyone was really good so she can’t have gone that wrong, I just have no idea what they are looking for or how many, I was surprised that there was so many! Fingers crossed for us both
  12. You must have been 9am with my daughter? She came out happy and seemed confident she managed it all, there seemed an awful lot of children? A lot more than her original audition, is that first and second year junior associates together do you think?! I wonder how many they take, going to be a long few days 😬
  13. Hi My daughter is year 4 also, but will be 9 in the summer x
  14. I’m so sorry Sparkly, I have just had an e mail recalling my eldest for associates and Cat, can’t quite believe it , it’s all very stressful x
  15. So was mine 😩 and she auditioned for the CAT Scheme too, what will be will be , doesn’t stop me refreshing my e mails though! X
  16. That’s great news! I’m just worrying ( and hopefully overthinking it) but someone earlier in the post said their DS had a recall for intermediate, so I’m thinking are they doing the yes pile first 😂
  17. My youngest has got through to junior too! Can’t believe it, she’s only 8 and it was all about last minute 😬 have heard nothing about oldest daughter though, I’m keeping everything crossed for her , well done!
  18. My daughters audition was 3pm too, she said it went well, a couple of things she hadn’t learnt but others in the same boat and she gave it a good go! She enjoyed herself so that’s all that matters , long week though😬!
  19. My daughter was in the 3pm audition too ( my youngest!) first audition as she’s only 8 years old, she said it was a fabulous class and enjoyed herself so that’s all that matters , it’s going to be a long week though😬
  20. Thank you, the lovely lady sent me another e mail this morning confirming the two separate times for my daughters. My eldest daughter really enjoyed the open day so fingers crossed it goes well!

  22. Thank you, sorry for the late reply! I heard back via e mail and then this evening was given a time but no name! I emailed to explain I had two daughters and they replied quickly with times for each of them. Good luck to you both , exciting but nerve wracking!
  23. Hi Im new here so not sure where to post! I have a daughter who is auditioning for associates at Northern Ballet Leeds, I have had confirmation they have received her cheque and form, I also have a younger daughter who would like to audition but her form was sent later. We haven’t heard anything back from them so I’m worrying they haven’t received it and the closing date was yesterday. So my question is , has anyone else sent the form and payment but not heard anything back yet?!
