I’ll go first. Hair. When they say hair up bun or plaits do they actually mean plaits across head? Does everyone buy the tracksuit? Ballet shoes - split sole or full sole. I’ve not bought leather since she was about 5 so is there a particular pair that is preferred/ nicer? I'm sure there’ll be more! thanks.

I hope so. Last year’s pictures looked much nicer but hopefully her technique is better in this year’s even if her face looks tired!

How important do you think the photos are? My daughter was really ill (looks terrible dark circles etc) when we took them but had to do them that day as we were running late for sending them in!

I was wondering this. My daughter auditioned on Tuesday in London for a year 6 place but do they have any spaces for year 6? Do they have new year 6 spaces or does it depend on how many year 5s there already are? She got SWL last year which was a big surprise as we were not expecting anything so I’ve been trying to temper the expectation this year!

So how short is the ‘short’ waiting list? 😂
