Hi Welshy yes we were in the second group, yes we were told they could wear their JA leotards or if the girls didn't feel comfortable in them they could wear something that prehaps flatters them a bit more as long as they feel beautiful she said that's fine 😊 We don't have many leotards so my dd was happy to wear hers..

No I don't believe there were any boys not in the 11.15 group with my dd.. thinking back I don't think I saw any boys there at all....

Hi streetdancer we did Bath on the 10th I would say we had 50/50 I think there were 2/3 groups on our day... i think all of our group were just year 6's but couldn't say for sure, did your daughter audition for an MA place too?

Bless him, he has done extremely well Elmhurst finals 😃 That's amazing exciting times ahead I'm sure... I really hope he gets the place he deserves fingers crossed 🤞 for you both ... ha ha I've got it all to come I'm sure 😫 X

Is anyone else feeling a little anxious about the RB results? We are not expecting to make it to finals but an MA place would be a dream, but after reading over some old chats MA's places seem like gold dust.

That's a shame your dd should of auditioned for a MA place with the Royal Ballet? Prehaps it's not too late 👍

Oh really that is great to hear, gosh you see I would only wish for my daughter to be hypermobile I never knew the problems that come along side it... good for her for trying again this year, yes your right all the children looked and danced beautifully. My dd is a JA she only started ballet less than 2 years ago so I'm super proud of what she's achieved already. They get so much out of every audition. She thought her Elmhurst audition went better than her MA and "White Lodge audition " 🙈 Bless her.

It's so difficult not knowing why? It would be nice to get some feed back, my dd isn't overly flexible but when I went into watch the last 10mins I thought she danced beautifully. I am not saying she didn't make finals because she wasn't flexible enough she obviously needs to work on that this year but it would be nice to get some kind of feed back on lines of improvement needed.

I mean what an achievement that is 😃 We have to celebrate all of these places no matter how far they get, it's just so heart breaking for them when they all work so hard.. good luck for Royal results.

AuntieNora I'm so sorry to hear that, but I have heard it is so hard to receive a year 8 place as they are so limited... she has done so well, I admire all of these girls and boys

Hasn't she done well, that is actually the route I would love my daughter to take as I don't want to let her go away at 11. Fingers crossed your dd gets in this year and that this is her time.... so our journey has just began... I suppose you just have to go with it and deal with the highs and lows along the way, they will make their own individual journeys... good luck everyone 🍀

I've heard they are usually quite quick to let you know good luck, it's the worst time having to wait I'm hoping we will find out before the weekend.
