Southerndancemum have you tried YDA Associates in Shepherds Bush as that's a Saturday? You probably have but thought I'd mention. It's still quite a trot for us and we have an audition next Sunday purely for the experience again. I will report back on cake/biscuit findings of course.

Quick question - dont the classes for LJB conflict with Tring CBA?  we had looked at auditioning but thought they did?!

Just wondering if anyone has and feedback on Hurst Lodge School in Ascot.  I've had it suggested to me as somewhere to look at for my DD.  She desperately wants to go to vocational school (ideally Tring) for yr 7 (currently yr 4) but I'm not sure i'll be able to afford the fees even with funding help should we get it.

I cant find anything on this school on here, or anywhere else, and just hoping to find out if its worth looking at or not.  They dont seem to audition to get in which makes me curious as to the standard of dancers there.

Glad you put that as I hadn't even thought about when we find out. I guess they already know or there wouldn't be enuf spaces for group 1 etc for the new ones joining

There's an extremely busy Costa 5 mins walk down the road. I find that the kids tend to polish off the biscuits.

You have to obtain an honours mark . And only 1st 2nd and 3rd go through ( apart from group's ) there is a clear explanation on the All England website .

Lol thanks I looked but couldn't see... But then looking via my phone so teeny text! What's the rule re groups? DD in group with only 2 in section. Does that mean guaranteed place at final as that seems wrong somehow.

Never been to All England stuff before - how does the marking work? do you have to get a specific score to go thru to finals etc?

DD auditioned last Nov on the Sunday and we got our yes on the Thursday after hence me seeing how everyone was doing today. I guess they have had bank holiday so hopefully tomorro for you all xx

Overheard a strange comment today that I thought I'd post on here...

My DD got given a Fab present at her first EYB show from her friend also in the show - a framed copy of the group photo from the rehearsal with details nicely written/printed on. A lovely unique keepsake :-)
