NYB results aren't out yet but it's at Tring so doubt it will conflict?!
-
Have any of you had anything in way of confirmation / contact?
-
Just wondering if anyone else DCs are planning on doing the taster day at Hammond on 15th June?

We're are also missing it as at the Janet Cram awards for our first time.
When I asked last term, I was told that they would come in and do an 'internal' assessment, nothing about getting a predicted result... I dont even really understand what that means?!

My DD also has crazy narrow feet (c width at best in Clarke's)
We get her leather ones made to fit in Freed now which has not been without complications but they do look nice
Good luck.

Every junior we know that auditioned had been offered recalls for the 1st. I have not heard of a single no letter.
Anyone heard how many are likely to be there and how many they will take thru?
-
Thank you for your replies. For a 13 year old girl would it be recommend to wear socks or convertible tights? What about for the assossiates audition?
yes sorry, def tights. made the assumption you were talking about a new to Tring little 'un LOL
-
ahhhh ok thank you, that makes more sense.

Hi all,
I've searched on here to no avail so hopefully not repeating an already asked question.
Does Hammond only offer funding help for yrs 4 - 6? and then you either have to leave or win the lottery to stay on for final years?
-
My DD has been with the CBA (fortnightly Sunday classes) for just over a year. The audition was a basic ballet class, very 'normal' and not at all pressured (apparently)
She wore a pale blue leo (that fits well) and socks and shoes. Seem to think they did some flex stuff which meant taking socks off so tights were a no-no.
The classes are lovely, push them but fun at the same time. 1 hr of classical and 45 mins of 'coaching' which are both fexibility execisies and learning dances.
i dont know much about the TA bar they are on saturdays i think

A friend of ours went all the way thru the school and loved every minute and it's now dancing as a principle in a 'well known' uk company.
My only thoughts are how would your DC feel if they started and then didn't get thru the audition to stay at 11 having been there a while... Just something to think on
Good luck and welcome x

Thanks for this great insight dancingdays!
What about how many JAs get called to finals from first round
-
Thanks Mumofaboy - that is a lot lower than i was expecting for finals given how long they are there for.
still debating on going home LOL
-
ooo lovely thank you.
yes, finger's crossed everyone
-
LOL my ever calming Mum just pointed out to me our postie comes very late (lie 5pm late) in the day so chances of anything being there unlikely.
but it does mean DD will open the letter without me vetting it first :/
What time were you in on Sunday? We were in at 10am.
Is it a generic-ish letter like the one with the numbers?
sorry for 20 questions - you are my link to the answers
