There are no prices on the seating plan for normal performances either, although there are for the opera, something about seat allocations changing which probably means less cheaper seats, also in the future there won't even be a seating plan in the Friends Brochure, looks as if they are trying to force everyone to book online.

The magazine on page 13 in the article " Buying tickets online"  the last six lines do say that Friends who do not have online access will be sent a printed copy of the seating plan. Hope that helps.

that's interesting - they were trying to get me to upgrade to Q, but I said I had too many recording I didn't want to lose. The chap said they 'could do things' with the old hard disk in the old box, such that i could have kept them, or transferred to the new. Sounds like your chap wasn't as helpful (not that I went for Q, as the rest of my tele technology isn't up to that level)

Not given the option, he just said “No”.

  3. I wonder if we are not being over critical about the “story” being silly. No one accuses Wagner’s ring cycle of being a silly story but that’s about Gods and stuff. Personally, I loved the music; the corps danced beautifully, Vadim didn’t have much to do but did it really well and Nela was wonderful; total command of the stage, I am not an Ashton expert but it looked pretty good to me and that smile is just fantastic.

  4. I will own up at the outset that my mind did go elsewhere on a few occasions during Wind and Untouchable, but I watched the live stream of Frankie rehearsing Wind and I am sure that there was a bum lift when dancing with her husband ( Darcey’s term not mine). Tonight I did not see that or was I having a senior moment. Natalia did not look impressed with her flowers and they did not come out in front of the curtain at the end. Loved the first one; downhill thereafter for me BUT it sounded like the reception at the end was the loudest of the night, so what do I know.

Indeed, the Ring is in Autumn 2018, and we opera-lovers have to book for it before either BP3 or BP4 of the 2017/18 season. Still, I suppose the imminent financial hit will be balanced by fewer other operas in Autumn 2018 and therefore a cheaper BP1 next year...

Just waiting for the Manon casting now. Last run I saw almost every performance.

Off topic, but I noticed that you have to book for the entire ring cycle, you cannot just book for one opera but only all of them in that cycle. Extraordinary.
