My DD is looking forward to this tomorrow . Just upstairs sorting her bag now . 1st time doing this summer school . It will be interesting to see , only done Tring before .
-
Is it just ballet or all genre's you are looking for ? I have sent you a PM re a school close to you . Please let me know if you have received it .
-
No , no guaranteed place at finals . All have to achieve an honours mark . On website it's on the right hand side margin , something like ' ever wondered how marks are scored at semi s ' something along those lines .
-
You have to obtain an honours mark . And only 1st 2nd and 3rd go through ( apart from group's ) there is a clear explanation on the All England website .
-
All regional finals are following that format , as do the finals . It really does speed things up ie the counting up of marks , only one trip to the stage for adj etc . Hope you get the split section names soon .
-
Level 1 was grades 2 and 3 . Level 2 4/5 and inter f . These were adj together , Level 3 inter and advanced f , level 4 advanced 1and 2 . These also were adj together . Think that's correct as like I said only saw morning session .

We was lovely . Very animated / interactive with the dancers . My DD loved the class .
-
Yes , they were lovely . Lovely children/dancers and lovely teacher and adjudicator . Only saw the level 2 section grade 4/5 inter f though .
-
The numbers next to the section on the timetable are normally the number of competitors in the section . But you won't find out which number your child is / order they dance in until the programme is released on the 1st day of competition
-
Not on the website on the face book page .
-
Looks like the Fareham timetable is on the All England FB page Lilac .

I have received London North timetable today . How can that be a qualifying festival ? Closing date was 31 st march
-
I have heard that the London North timetable should be out very shortly , although dreading the huge sections that are inevitable due to the bigger areas
-
Just had the course details through by email . DD will be extatic on her return from school !!
-
My DD is also 11 is very excited too !! Keeps practising doing her bun by herself . I'm hoping she ll have a fantastic time , although a little disappointed that there won't be any tap . ( well that's what I've heard )
-
Oh good , what does a typical day involve ?
-
My DD is attending this course in a couple of weeks ( 1st time . ) could someone please inform me when we will get details , timetable , kit list etc? Nice to see the course is full , hope it proves worth the while , my daughter is really looking forward to it

Is it just ballet ? And out of London what area are you looking at ?
-
Looks like it's Jennifer Haley .

Anyone s DC competing in Portugal this week at DWC ? Or know anyone that is ? Fantastic opportunity , if you can afford it that is . Best of luck to team England . My DD so wishes her dance school took part !

I think 5 terms / 18 months sounds about right . Pretty much the same as my DD dance school . I would hazard a guess grade 4 is approx old elementary standard ! God I'm showing my age . Really goes to show how much the new grades have bought the children's tap on . My DD is in grade 4 at 10 , I'm sure in the oldendays elementary students were 13/14 ish .

Grade 3 is extremely hard to be starting in . DD tap teacher would not let anyone start tap in any other class than primary / grade 1 in special circumstances , especially with the new grades of ISTD being so hard . I would say the new grade 3 is the equivalent to the old grade 5/6 .
