drdance
There are a small number of places now available for year 5 and 6 students to begin on this monthly supplementary training scheme from September. Due to the school holidays there will NOT BE A LIVE AUDITION, but interested applicants are being asked to send a short video and photographs (details upon request). For those unfamiliar with the scheme, students spend 2 and a half hours each month training intensively on classical ballet technique, music, artistry, strength, flexibility, stamina and power. Half of the session has a classical ballet focus, with a pianist from Elmhurst School, and the other half of the session has a more jazz/contemporary focus. While both sessions involve body conditioning exercises, the majority take place in the second half of the sessions. Students also focus on a range of turns and leaps. To apply, email director@midas-dance.org.uk for further details. Please do share this information with your dance teachers or friends with DC you feel may benefit from this type of training. Many thanks!

drdance
Hi balletmum20 they're usually on the first Sunday of each month where possible. The only exceptions are if it's New Years Day (that happened last year I think?!) or Easter Sunday/the Sunday in the middle of the Easter holidays.
