JulieW Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Whatever she does please make it a happy one - I've sat through so many sad ones it would make a welcome change! 4
Karen Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I echo Julie W! I scribed for an adjudicator recently who said that she was fed up with seeing sad and mournful characters (similar age group) and would love to see something more lighthearted and original. Check your syllabus because if the class is character or demi character you can pick a theme - a colour or something like sunshine or moonlight and interpret as you see it.
Jazzpaws Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 How about using the something along the line of the housekeeper in Tom and Jerry, plenty of scope there
pas de chat Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 One of my friends did 'sticky problem' when she was about 13 about having some chewing gum stuck on her foot. Not sure if this was a set dance those many moons ago but it was very sweet! excuse the pun!
Thecatsmother Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 A few random ideas-insomnia, the artist, the girl in the mirror, something maybe adapted using ideas from a musical like the lion king, something interesting could be created from the concept of an injured dancer going through the physical and emotional process of starting to dance again? Maybe the loss, the dreams, the fantasy, the struggles etc or a dancer's final performance. Just a few ideas to stimulate thought.
