alison
A thread for any thoughts arising from the BBC's "Proms" season this year: archive recordings until a couple of weeks before the end of the season, by which time we should be getting some live concerts, even if their current programmes are as yet unspecified. My first, rather random, thought: is Rossini's overture to Semiramide as reminiscent of the music for La Sylphide as I thought it was on Wednesday? MrsBBB
Some of the programmes for the live concerts have now been announced: https://www.bbc.co.uk/events/rxxnc8/by/date/2020 The non London based orchestras will perform in their home locations, not from the RAH. I'm looking forward to Viennese Night on Bank Holiday Monday 🙂.
