A Level Dance or Dance BTEC

Hi Zelda,

 

I would keep all options open and actually apply for both colleges at the moment - I did this, one with BTEC and the other with A levels. Here you are showing your family that you are still thinking of them at the moment with the A Levels in mind. 

I would then go to both open evenings, talk to the teachers with your family at each open evening. After this you will have auditions at both colleges, here you will see the levels of dancers in the class and this may help you or you may see the type of level you are up against.

 

I did this with the 2 colleges and didn't actually make a decision until the very last day where I needed to enroll at the sixth form which was late in the summer. 

 

This gives you more time to attend more classes if you can, more time to discuss with your parents and more time for you to realise which one you would  prefer rather than quickly choosing because a deadline is coming up. You may go to the open evenings and auditions and change your mind.
