  1. We know someone who was on reserve and got offered a place so be positive! There’s always places open up too as not everyone offered places can accept. Well done!
  2. Just to reiterate what others are saying, we auditioned last year and got nos across the board. We joined open classes (which by the way have been LOVED) and tried again - been offered a place on CAT and IFA. Reserve places will come up as the timetable clashes so people can't accept both. Highly recommend open classes as a good route though, game-changer!
  3. Oh that’s interesting - can you share the highlights of what you learned? I’m away at moment you see
  4. Thanks for this! We’ve been spiralling a bit because it completely clashes with current dance school but this is an excellent perspective
  5. Yes all assessment results for existing said April 12 too for associates
  6. We have exactly the same issue - the days of classes aren’t what we thought and so it clashes with “home” dance school completely, which is a shame as we have friends and fun there. Lots to think about!
  7. We just got out email! Been offered a place and our heads are spinning! Good luck everyone !
  8. Project resurgence summer intensive with Martin Howland is in July I think. There’s still places on that.
  9. Just a heads up that there are still some free audition spots available for the Project Resurgence September 2024 intake. For those who aren't familiar with the programme, this is a CIC taught by Martin Howland (HowlyBallet) All the information can be found on their website (no closing date published but should image it is soon as audition dates are April I think) https://projectresurgence.co.uk
  10. We had our final CAT audition yesterday too - two hour class! Absolutely great feedback about the environment and the teacher and found it a really enjoyable experience: was very excited to have just been asked back and sees it as an achievement in itself which is great. Does anyone know how long the cat classes actually last (is it three hours)
  11. Just bumping it up in case anyone else has a CAT final audition and can offer any further insight?
  12. Oh that’s reassuring! I had heard you weren’t allowed to dance for another school and we’ve been at ours for years ! Thankyou for the reply.
  13. Huge congratulations - we auditioned for associates too but haven’t heard back yet! We did get a recall for CAT and I’ve just posted seeking advice too! The very best to you!
  14. Hi hive mind - my tiny dancer has been invited to a final audition for the Northern Ballet (Leeds) CAT programme. We really liked the idea of the associates programme and were absolutely stunned to have received a callback for CAT (in a positive way) I’ve read up on the website but I wondered if anyone has any experience of this final round they can share and experience of the programme overall? I’m not sure what to expect as I’ve heard mixed information - including that if you dance with CAT you have to leave your current dance school? Can anyone out there settle the nerves of some very inexperienced first timers? Has anyone yet heard back on associates ?
