There is further information about the magnificent King's Theatre dome here: https://www.capitaltheatres.com/about/stories/dear-john-celebrating-the-kings-dome Rich in theatrical motifs and references, John’s design for the King’s dome was painted onto the 17m high dome in the summer of 2013 by a team led by scenic artist Kevin Leary and including John Byrne’s daughter Celie Byrne and John himself. The work replaced the previous design, completed in 1985, but damaged and in a state of disrepair by 2012, providing the ideal opportunity for a major contemporary commission. There is a link there to the BBC documentary about John Byrne What do Artists Do All Day? (includes the creation of the dome).

That's not pirated footage I've posted. It's a trailer for the 'official' version. "Available on DVD from Opus Arte" However the full thing is on YouTube, for those willing to search. Pirated. But don't tell anyone.

It needs some very good dancers who can do the steps (!) and also have the required sense of irony, as well as a touch of pathos! I'd have thought Anna Rose O'Sullivan and Steven McRae (as the Captain Belaye) were made for this. Nela and Vadim! And where IS Coppelia? Bring it back! (And Fille of course.)- 183 replies

Sad isn't it? I see Nottingham Council has declared itself bust. I think many others will follow. There simply is not the cash to even provide the basic services let alone anything else. -

I suspect it's the very ancient one with Steven McRae. It's pirated on YouTube if you search! No Jolly Roger flying on this snippet. It's legit.
