  1. My daughter is first year this year and started at 16. With majority of year group being under 18 at start of year, is definitely a limit to options. Quite a number are at Friendship House, there is also a group at IQ Paris Gardens. These were the only options close by we found for under 18. Others are either at home or in home stay accommodation. Whilst Friendship and IQ try to keep the CBS students on same floor, in reality some are split across floors due to late bookings etc. IQ only take students, where as Friendship has different requirements. Both have a policy for CBS students under 18, so do advise they are CBS student when you discuss booking
  2. I know of someone who received an offer in last couple of weeks, so must be a waitlist offer as was after other offers went out. Am guessing they will be done as people advise whether they will be taking up offers (not sure when cut off for accepting offers from main round was). Still time!
  3. Hopefully a current parent can answer with more information, but I do know that a singing unit is part of second year curriculum.
  4. We are also looking at Friendship House for DD. She has talked to others she knows who are already there who are living in other Uni accommodation, but that has greater travel which I think we want to avoid for first year while settles in to London. None of those she has talked to have suggested home stay, I am guessing is limited options for this close by (I know is a popular option for Rambert students as was recommended by friends their if she took offer there). Husband is in London for work next week so is meant to be doing a tour of Friendship House and potentially another option to check looks good. Very hard making these decisions from a long distance away! LHA were definitely helpful with my questions and use to having a decent number of CBS students
  5. Congratulations!! My DD has a place as well - also from Australia. She will be happy to hear will have others in year group!!
  6. Congratulations to your boys!! And good luck to all others awaiting calls today! Excited to hear all the outcomes.
  7. Thank you. Getting tougher to find options for those under 18.
  8. Thank you! Will have a good look at Friendship House. Drapery was also recommended, but obviously a lot more travel. There are also Wellington Lodge, Moonraker Point and IQ Bankside close to the school which look like newer properties, anyone have experience or knowledge of these?
  9. Hi, hoping to restart this chat as DD has accepted an offer for CBS starting September 2023. Trying now to look at accomodation options for a 16yo (and international so can’t go look at them). Any recommendations (or places to stay away from)? And anyone else with a student planning for CBS?
