  1. I’m sorry I’ve just seen this, we were cheaper this year because we booked early, I’m not sure what the prices are at the moment but I’d imagine about £199 per week. Bills are included along with a bus pass, so the only other costs are food, approx £30 per week, and living. The halls have lots of events and there is not much time for partying outside their timetable. There is a gym, a cinema, roof top terrace and a dance studio, it is quite smart as halls go! Message me if you want any other info, I’m happy to talk about her experience.
  2. Guilden Village in Guildford were happy to take 16 year olds and have a whole block of only Conti students. My daughter was only 16 and I felt happy she was safe and had adults on site. She shared a flat with her course so many 16 year olds. They get a free bus pass included to get to Woking. The premises have a dance studio for their use.
  3. Sorry I missed this, but my daughter is in 1st year dance at Italia Conti in Woking. If you need any questions answered I am happy to help. My daughter is doing the trinity diploma, she is 16 and stays in Guilden Village in Guildford, she is living her best life down there and I can heartily recommend the course!
  4. So does that mean if we accept the formal offer from BIMM we are liable for fees, before we know result of DaDA? I’m so confused with this? we received the offer from the portal but I am reluctant to accept not knowing the funding situation, we are waiting on funding decisions and an offer from other places still! Also LSC want a deposit next week and I am not ready to make decisions, we still do not know which is the best option. I am still drawn to Northern, it was her top choice before auditioning, we have had some curve balls though!
  5. Thanks everyone, it’s a minefield, and the costs are spiralling due to flights and hotels etc! Funding is more than definitely an issue especially for Laine, but really all of them. LSC is also a degree but not fully funded so there are so many options as well as financial ones. She has decided against performers and bird, she would like somewhere with a strong ballet training. Does anyone know anything about Stella Mann?
  6. Hi there, new to this, but my daughter has done some auditions pre Xmas and we have a few after! So far acceptances for NBS and Laine, and Renaissance Arts. We are doing LSC, RCS. She has a recall for Conti but it keeps clashing with other auditions, they have not given us another one yet! We are in two minds about Rambert, as everyone says they like them older and she is only 15. Also a school I’m not allowed to discuss. She wants to cancel Tring, trinity, NSCD, does anyone have any thoughts? It has been a costly and stressful process 😂
  7. Hi there, i have a Glasgow audition, I was offered 14th jan, but my daughter has a prelim that day so she has been offered 21st jan as an alternative, just thought I would let you know! I would e mail and ask what dates they have? we are in Glasgow so this is one of the only auditions we have at home 😂. We have done a fair few before Xmas in London.
