Also following as I have an 11 year old with small hands, long hair and a perfectionist streak!
The small hands definitely are a hindrance aren’t they for doing it!- 1

My perfectionist DD learnt to do hers to her satisfaction by just doing it again and again until she was happy!
It wasn't quick, but she got there!
Pony tail on top of head, then twisting it round on itself so it's like a rope, then round and round the bobble, and tucking the end under bobble. Pop a bun net over and pin.
Good luck!
thank you, yes that’s a great tip! Is getting her to turn her head upside down the easiest way for the high pony? That’s what we are trying! I’m pretty good at doing the buns in her hair really neat and great with french plaits but teaching her how to do it herself I’m doing a pretty terrible job 🤣- 1

Really struggling to teach my eleven year old how to do her own bun in her hair, any tips or advice appreciated,or where to find good tutorials for them, she’s got small hands and a lot of hair and is not getting the hang of it at all, thanks!

For anyone that’s received the new MA leotard with it being a different colour what are you doing about the bow? As doesn’t match the previous MA bow colour

Ahhh! That’s so good! Mine still says “unfulfilled” in my Dansez account I’ve given up on receiving my order before we go on holiday so I’m just now hoping it won’t go missing when it gets delivered while we are away. Not having much joy with anything MA-related recently. I even ordered the new leotard the day the link was sent out but still no luck.
Mine also says unfulfilled! Ordered on 30/6 the day of receiving the email 🙈

Has anyone heard anything yet about the timings of the new online body conditioning classes that are to be offered from September? Or the new uniform? I haven’t received anything in my email yet but thought I’d ask on here in case anyone phoned up RBS about these.
not heard anything yet about uniform and haven’t opted to do the online body conditioning so can’t comment on that -
Just had ours, it’s a yes 😀

Do you know if the yeses and no’s come out at the same time/day?
I don’t, I only heard about yeses last time. But yes hopefully soon!

I was wondering the same, we had found out by 3rd June last year, but bank holiday may have delayed it

I think every centre is being done a bit differently - we haven't received any further instructions re. the equipment and I imagine will be told if we need to buy anything on the first day.
We also didn't have a zoom (though I know some other centres have) but we have been told to come in at the start of the first class (same as a few years ago) so I guess it's up to each teacher/venue how they are handling the welcome/info bits and pieces.
Yes that sounds about right then must be how it’s being done 😀

Hi, we are London centre and we got an email from the teacher saying which equipment need to be purchased on the 38 Aug. Then another email on 1 Sept to say shop is open with a link to buy the items. Also received invoice from their Finance on 3 Sept.
We also received an email the other day with revised start times. Does anyone know if they’re still having the first day parent talk as mentioned in the Handbook or did the Zoom meeting done last week in place of the in person meeting?
We got the invoice but not the other emails, and didn’t have a zoom meeting either. Hope we’ve not missed emails -have checked my junk. Thanks!

@Ballerina_girlwhich location are you starting? We also had the email in July but no further email re: equipment since. I’m now thinking that they’ll get the students know in the first class. Im
sure it will be fine.

I received an email at the end of July saying our associate teacher would be in touch with what equipment we needed to buy for associate class but haven’t received this yet? Has anyone else?

Hello I am very new to all this my DS is attending the summer school and is exceptionally nervous to the point I am not sure he will go he is not boarding as he isn’t confident enough to do so so I am staying in Birmingham with him. I know he will be in the minority but if any other boys are there could they get in touch? He gets on so well with girls to so I hope they mix with him aswell 🙁
my DD would love to come and say hi if you private message me hope he is ok and just tell him he might be confusing nerves with excitement it’s easily done 😀- 1

Hi, just to say my daughter is 11 and the 3A is slightly loose on her. Wearable but not as fitted as she wants it to be. She is not petite (around 151cm height) and is usually in adult XS in other leotards. The size 2 fits her fine. I ordered both size 2 and 3A to be on the safe side as she can always wear the 3A in a few months' time (or weeks, seeing as how she is always seem to be going through growth spurts).
Sounds like it could be going back then! 🙈 might message them see if I can swap one to a 2 as ive ordered 2

Congratulations! My daughter is a petite 11 I have ordered the 9-11 jacket and bottoms as I was told they come up quite big. I ordered the size 2 leotard which fits but without much room. Hope this helps xx
Thank you this sounds like my daughters shape she’s turning 11 in august and is petite I’m going to go for the 3A leotard then and 9-11 tracksuit. If the 3A is too big I will swap for the 2

my daughter was offered a mid associate place today off the waiting list😀 shes so excited. Can anybody help with uniform sizing for the leotard and tracksuit? Is it true to size does it run big or small shes 11 in August but wondering whether to get 9-11 or 12-13 thanks

We just had an email asking if we would consider going to an alternative centre. We are on SWL but the centre is too far. Assuming this might of been an email to all still left on waitlist to see if there was any interest?

Did anyone get a response after paying the deposit or is the parent pay receipt enough to confirm you’ve accepted the place.

Girls tend to wear any leotards they like paired with practice skirts throughout the classes. But definitely take a black leotard and black skirt for the sharing of work performance. Although there was more variety in the practice skirts at the senior session performance two years ago.
My DD loves this particular summer school and has only missed one in Y8 since she was old enough to go. Now in upper school and going again this year. Hopefully all the new dancers will enjoy it as much too.
that’s really helpful thank you! My daughter doesn’t tend to wear practice skirts but has a nice black leotard with a skirt attached that we got because it was in the sale so she can take that aswell as a black leotard plus her leotards 😀- 1

When I was there we were allowed any leotard but maybe bring a black one as sometimes they ask for that at the showing
Brilliant thank you 😀

Does anyone know if they have a specific type of leotard they like as the uniform for summer school? If anyone has any previous experience
