So has everyone got the email from RBS? I think our questions have been answered about the finals! Delayed until end of March earliest. I know they’ll want to see them in person if at all possible but I’m sure I read somewhere that they said they’re used to choosing from videos as that’s how they’ve always decided the overseas auditions x 

My DD is applying for Elmhurst and Royal. What are everyone’s thoughts on the finals? I know elmhurst and royal were hoping to do finals in the studio but as that is looking unlikely now I’m wondering whether they’ll want another video or whether they’ll decide from what we’ve already done? Xx

Well no one knows anything for certain so don’t give up hope altogether but I do imagine it would have all been done in one day 🤔

Ok so maybe if 2 from bath got it today maybe there is 3 from each ?! Or maybe just 2 ?! Maybe like someone said they only took what they thought they could due to COVID an social distancing! But now can take more?! Xx

I know of 3 on the list for bham, that’s including my DD, there’s probably more. I’m really hoping they’re able to fill more places 🤞 
I just had another thought though, maybe the Bath classes moving to a Sunday is a recent decision and 2 that initially said yes have had to drop out due to other classes/commitments on a Sunday! 
Only time will tell for us, I’ll be holding out hope until October! 😊 xx

Fingers crossed that you will hear something soon. I thought it was a joke when I had A phone call today, I had given up hope. The classes are on a Sunday up till Christmas then changes to a Saturday social distancing permitting. Our 1st meeting is 12th sept via zoom where we meet teacher and ask questions and our 1sr class is 20th. It appears they were waiting to see what happens with the social distancing saga. It must have been a very lovely surprise! I would imagine they’d have done it all on the same day for all centres but who knows. X

I was the same! I don’t know what to think, it just seemed strange to me that 2 places were offered for bath on the same day. Who knows!

Well seems like they’ve filled 2 places for Bath today which seems quite unusual?? My DD is also on waiting list for bham, I was hoping they were doing all centres and that I’d get a call but nothing. Wishful thinking!

I’ve often wondered if the ‘short’ in short waiting list means that there’s not many on that list or that they’re on it for just a short amount of time ? 🧐

Yes i was thinking the same, but I always look at the positives and maybes! I know in Birmingham that they have 2 classes in year 6 and I’m wondering whether they didn’t do this but are waiting to see how it all goes with covid and then might add another class. 🤔 

Yes that’s probably true but there’s still hope until Oct 1st 🤣

Yes but as Ballet Power posted earlier they had to confirm they wanted the place straight away. The 20th is the deadline for the official acceptance x

On the website it says applications open in October. They’ve delayed the auditions until January I believe.

I have no inside knowledge, so this is pure speculation. However I wonder if they have given fewer definite places upfront as Government regulations for dance classes have not yet been published. So they are being cautious in case only a few dancers are allowed in each class. Then if they find they can accommodate more, they will be able to fill places from the waiting list.

Here’s hoping! 

Obviously I don’t know for sure but in my opinion they will have a definite numbered waitlist and won’t need to watch the videos again.

Well done for the SWL, same here. We had a no in year 4 and 5 so it was a nice feeling! 

Maybe they are only having smaller classes this year. They usually take a whole other class in year 6 so they have two classes. This is the case in bham and London I think anyway so maybe that wasn’t possible this year due to social distancing, which would explain less yes’s 🤔
