  1. No, realistically of course it is more likely to be mid next week. Doesn’t stop me hoping though.
  2. Praying the emails start to come today, not sure I can bear waiting over the weekend! Haha! Good luck to us all x
  3. Good luck to all of our fellow Newcastle auditionees! I’d love to find out today but suspect it won’t be till Monday or so as I think it’s usually about five days following last audition which was yesterday. (Well that’s what I’ve gathered from reading on here! Ha x)
  4. I think the results come out with the centre they auditioned at, is that right? Even if they’ve requested a place at another centre? Sooo many things to speculate about and keep us busy until results! Ha x
  5. That’s promising then Butterfly, hopefully we will have a repeat of the same! 🙏
  6. Yep Hazel, that’s all auditions finally complete! Newcastle was first this year on April 30th. Really hoping we find out soon and like you say that Dundee doesn’t hold it up too much! I think looking back at previous threads it’s been quite early for a few years so I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’s soon!
  7. Good luck to anybody whose DC are auditioning in Dundee today! 🤞
  8. Oh definitely, there are so many wonderfully talented children vying for a very small amount of spaces so I have done exactly the same and whilst he certainly isn’t expecting a place, he is still definitely hoping and wishing for one, ha! At the end of the day the audition just cemented his love of ballet and that can only be a good thing
  9. Ahhh Astrid don’t encourage me! Ha! I’ve been so calm and collected about the whole thing all the way along and It’s like now June is here a switch has been flipped and I’m constantly email refreshing. Ridiculous! My DS absolutely loved his audition and had such a positive experience and really that was what it was all about, and I know his chances are exceptionally slim but there’s that what if isn’t there. Doesn’t help that he is so keen bless him.
  10. The Newcastle audition was on April 30th so five weeks ago tomorrow. They come out in order of audition venue usually so Newcastle will be first and then they filter out from there over the next two weeks or so I think?
  11. Waverley what a brilliant and helpful post by your insightful little DD! Lots of luck to her and all our DCs! 🌟
  12. I hope you’re right Astrid and it’s next week! Last year Newcastle results went out on June 6th....not likely this year with the Dundee audition but this wait is killing me now, ha! April 30th seems like forever ago!
  13. Good luck to everybody auditioning today! Hope you all have a fantastic experience ☺️ After today it’s just the audition in Dundee next week I think, on the 5th? I looked at last years JA thread and results started coming out for Newcastle on June 5th, but with Dundee being a new centre I imagine this will impact the results and mean they won’t be out quite so early this time! 😭 End of June seems like such a looong time away! We’ve waited this long I suppose! Ha x
  14. At Newcastle there were several children with both parents in the waiting room, which tbh wasn’t ideal as it was absolutely tiny and far too overcrowded! I don’t know what it’s like at other centres though in terms of space x
  15. At the insight day we were advised that the only time they would discontinue a child from the JA programme is if it became clear that the child wasn’t making any progress and the style of training didn’t suit them x
  16. Well done to everybody who has auditioned over the past few days! 😁 I wonder when we will find out? I know in previous years it has been beginning of June but with there being the new Dundee audition and that not being till the first week in June it might be later this year...we weren’t actually told when we would find out at DSs audition, so just guessing really!
  17. Hi Ms Sunshine, oh that’s absolutely amazing, huge congratulations to your daughter! How exciting for you both! Thank you for sharing your experience, it’s definitely helpful! DS is currently dead set on ballet being the right path for him and it’s all he wants to do, so it’s really reassuring to hear stories like your DDs!
  18. Hi Astrid! Oooh was there really? I suppose more kids means more staff to assess them doesn’t it. Im trying not to overanalyse but it is so hard when they’re so desperate for a place isn’t it!
  19. Yes, DS said that at the beginning they were told that Sylvia would be assessing even numbered candidates, and Mark the odd numbered ones. So that makes perfect sense! This was at Newcastle, not sure about other centres.
  20. I am a first time poster but have been lurking for about a year! 🤣 Hi everybody! I thought with the ‘reverse froggie’ that was to test current useable turnout, rather than regular froggie which tests potential available turnout, is that not right? My DS auditioned in Newcastle for the first time; he has only been dancing just 18 months so is still very new to everything really. We have no expectations regarding a place at all, but what a fantastic experience! He absolutely loved the audition, he came out sweating and on an absolute high, and by the next morning he was in agony in his thighs from how hard he had pushed to do springs, haha! Good luck to all the DDs and DSs applying; they are all fantastic! 🤞
