I have everything crossed for you. Still nothing here we were last group of the day on Tuesday. I wonder if itā€™s only yesā€™s that are out šŸ˜¢??

    Ā

    Mind games.

Anxiety makes us assume the worst.

Anything could happen and the opposite of that anything and you know that.Ā

Now that would have been a very sensible idea šŸ¤£

    Ā

expat what day & group result are you waiting for? X

    Ā

    The baby one.

Youngest girls, 3 PM on Friday in London.Ā

Last in, last out I suppose. šŸ˜

PS: part of me is also very curious and which is why I want this wait to end already. My DD told me the panel did a lot of looking at the DCs at the beginning of the class. And Iā€™ve always heard rumours of what they look for. My DD, much as I think sheā€™s a lovely little dancer, would rate distinctly average on all the physical attributes that have been said RBS looks for - sheā€™s not too tall but not too short, slim but not tiny, no swaybacks, no banana feet, so-so flexibility, long but not THAT long legs etc. Ā The tiny DDs I saw during audition day were little but quite long legged proportionally. Ā On paper and in theory, after the physical inspection, physically my DD should have slowly melted into the background after that first hurdle. She does haveĀ strong points in other aspects of ballet so I would say she might have a teeny tiny glimmer of a chance.Ā

    Ā

I just saw the Associates dancing at the fair on Saturday, I took a good look and trust me, there were all kids of bodies there.Ā

I think the only thing they had in common was that none of them had any extra weight on them.Ā

I think that was the youngest audition group....I know they run them in age order. So possibly girls in there who wonā€™t be 8 until just before end August but I donā€™t think they would have anyone younger in.Ā Did you not see them going in to the audition yourself? If your daughter is also one of the youngest in her year that might be why sheā€™s smallest at school but not necessarily smallest among a whole bunch of other late summer birthday children?

    Ā

Possibly. Anythingā€™s possible at this point.

I shouldnā€™t even think about this kind of stuff, but the wait is doing a number onĀ my mind.Ā

(No, the football game didnā€™t help either. šŸ˜)

No, we were 1.30. What did she say?

    Ā

My daughter is very small (120 cm) and thin, the smallest child in her year group at school (90 kids) by far.Ā

She said that pretty much everyone in that group was smaller /Ā shorter than her, some looked like 5-6 year olds.

I just canā€™t wrap my head about this and I think she might be an unreliable witness.Ā

They must be 8 by September and canā€™t be any younger.

Possibly a silly question, but is the email likely to come into our inbox or junk? I guess it may depend on your settings?Ā

    Ā

    Not silly at all!

So far all the correspondence theyā€™ve sent (confirmation for signing up, confirmation of application)Ā cameĀ straight through to my regular e-mail inbox.Ā

So I had a little look at last yearā€™s JA thread and it looks like the last results before London were sent out on the 17th and none were sent on the 18th and 19th JuneĀ (2-DAY GAP!! - the torture!). Then boys and year 6s received theirs on the 20th followed by the rest (year 5 and 4) on the 21st. Iā€™m thinking none were sent out yesterday and Iā€™m guessing none today - although happy to be proven wrong - which means a whole weekend of obsessing for a few (a lot?) of us and boys/year 6 Monday, followed by the rest on Tuesday. Itā€™s almost like we can definitely startĀ a World Cup-style sweepstakes on who can guess when London results are out, which I think a previous poster has also already mentionedĀ šŸ˜†

    Ā

Some Birmingham results were still filtering out yesterday.Ā

Also, we donā€™t know whetherĀ on those days no one posted here last year results were coming out for people not on this forum.

    Thereā€™s a lot of unknown here.Ā

Hello all. I'm new here. My daughter just got a waiting list letter from RB JA at Birmingham. Does anyone know what her chances of getting a place are, in terms of odds? We're crossing fingers but trying to be realistic too.

    Cheers.

    Ā

If you read back, there are a lot of posts about this. In conclusion: itā€™s aĀ reason to be hopeful!Ā

    Congratulatuons! šŸŽ‰

    Ā

For everyone else: if Birmingham results are still coming in, the Londoners should get out to the sun and forget about this for a while.Ā

I think they might have auditioned at a different centre as London auditions were in half term so sometimes people are away. I havenā€™t heard any other London results.Ā

    Ā

Me neither and Iā€™m watching like a hawk.

šŸ˜€ What class was your daughter in? Mine was the 1.30.Ā

    Ā

    Ā

3 PM on Friday the 1st in London.Ā

So pretty much amongst the last ones in the UK.

This is no curb to my embarrassing email watching habit.Ā

throwing in my two pennyworth, they really seem to be going for small and more gymnastic lookingĀ girls (and boys?)and not your typical Ā tall-but not-too-tall/long leg/neck/more classical ballerina types.anybody else agree?feel free to disagree! i was discsusing with a friend andĀ she was convinced it was still about long legs etc but I just haven't seen that in recent years...and this year think that trend has continued...interesting times...

    Ā

Well, use me as a reference. My DD is very small, about a head shorter than her classmates. 120 cm. Summer born year 3 student.Ā

    About 17 kg, alltogether.

    A squad member actual gymnast.

    Awating results for London...

Just joined this forum to join the nervous wait! My dd auditioned for London JAs on the last day of auditions. Thought we were in for a long wait, but hoping not now all the other results coming out! šŸ˜¬

    Ā

Hi there, same, same, same and same.

Just joined here, London audition, last day, girl.Ā

Where is Birmingham ? Felt sure if would be yesterday or today. The wait is worse each day :(

    Ā

I promised myself and everyone who knew about this audition that I shall not obsess. I know how slim the chances are for a girl in a London.Ā

    Yet here I am.Ā

I suck at waiting, for anything and besides you guys here I donā€™t think anyone would understand how I feel.Ā
