    Thank you for the info Aklf ! It is a kind of a very mixed happy/scared thing for us ...I'm all terrified/ nervous wreck:) part and DD has the happy moment Good luck to all the still waiting hopefully today all the results out !

    Maybe you can phone them? We got results for year seven for the 25/01 audition... so I would guess yours should be out before us...as higher year and earlier audition ... good luck!!!!!

    Same here! Just started JA this year and ballet less than a year ago! No prior dance or ballet ever before!

    A huge surprise here too. Hoped for but NEVER expected yes for finals year 7 Birmingham ...DD over the moon ... I see it as a prolonged no though.... Good luck to all still waiting and to all in finals and to all who have more ahead with MA and SA and other schools! This chat was and is a great support for me ....

    Agreed... I guess yours Mancherster results are next and then ours for Birmingham year seven... can't wait to know either way and statistically more likely a no anyway...it is not a fun wait! DD had such a lovely time... I don't think she is fully aware that her own impression from the audition and the panel's impression may differ !???? Well a life lesson is coming I guess... good luck to all the waiting ! Hope it is over soon!

    Thank you Flowerpot!???? In my novice experience and opinion ???? Anyone can go and anyone has a chance..worth the try, it is just an extra ballet class to attend (plus the obvious anxious wait after and a very possible "no" to deal with but a chance for a "yes" too! Follow RBS site for the application timing and photo requirements. Our teacher helped us with the photos, used my phone .. They state on a web DC are not assessed based on photos....but I think worth to look the best ballet wise It is same application for WL and Mid associates just choose one of them or both... first audition is together as wel... DD went to Berminham ...She choose to try solely WL. Next year WL, Elmhurst and Tring. We are too just learning about the process ... so maybe some other schools too... Sorry always comes too long!

    Hi Flowerpot! In my DD case... - the preliminary audition was just a class. DD found it rather enjoyable ..I gather .they look for overall suitability for RBS, like turn out etc...the usual suspects and that love of dance perhaps, that something extra....not an advanced technique at least not for Year 7... - no solo, just some improvisation is required that, they share the improvisation time so music plays and each improvises ... - based solely on leotards and without really counting them would think half JA and half were not (it can be misleading as some JA don't wear JA leotards) ... but definitely a mix of both JA and none JA ... - DD does about 8 hours a week and a very late starter - Don't have any idea about finals as it iwas DD first try for WL. - if she ever makes it to finals, will post but it is a huge IF Good luck!!!

    Sorry to hear about the negative experiences...My DD had a lovely time... I'm dreading the disappointment the letter will most likely to bring....
