Hi,
Have a look at Rubicon Dance - they run lots of adult classes https://www.rubicondance.co.uk/forms/dance-for-adults - I learned to tap there many years ago!
Also Ballet Cymru used to do adult classes - not sure if they still do
Good Luck x

We've never managed to find a decent place for pointe shoe fittings in the NW. I know a couple but not sure I'd recommend them.
We travel to Dancique!

We had a grumpy pianist when I was a child, she used to nod off at the piano while the teacher was talking to us. As you can imagine it caused endless amusement, she was usually woken up by my teacher banging her stick on the floor!!!

Hi @daisy50,
My dd is at NBS and one of her classmates had done a university degree before starting her training. I'm not sure of the implications long term but it shows that some schools take older students.
I'm also not sure how it would work with funding as the student mentioned isn't from the UK.

Hello,
I hope this is allowed, my daughter is doing a research project on women in choreography. If anyone is prepared to complete her short questionnaire she would really appreciate it. It is completely anonymous and aimed at those who are training for a career in dance or recently graduated.
Thank you so much

Hi, if you pm me an email address I can get my daughter to contact you. She's about to go into 3rd year at NBS x

Hi, would you be able to send me a picture of the grishko leotard? X
-
My dd is about to go into 3rd year. She only has a tracksuit top. She has plain black bottoms. I'm sure some others could let you know what theirs wear before you buy anything that will not be worn!

There's accommodation and food during the performances.
Costumes are provided, you have to supply tights and shoes.
The year my dd last did it we had to buy a leotard and t shirt
Other than that I don't remember there being much more 🤔

Do you know if there are Gaynor Mindens that don’t have a very tapered box? I just asked my DD again about the shape of the Grishkos she had briefly and she said that not only was the shank wrong but she found they tapered too much.
If you go on the Gaynor Minden website it explains all the different combinations. They do a wide fit and a square box which may help

I've just found a letter from 2018 and there were 105 members in total. Not sure of the split though. I helped chaperone and I'd guess maybe 30ish in the junior company.
