  7. Congratulations to all your very talented dd's! i'm waiting for an exam result too (took my exam July 5th)- the waiting is horrible isnt it!!
  8. yes that sounds like a fab idea- i didnt really feel as if i got to dance much at Wolverhampton- i was mostly at the back for the warmup, then just 2 allegro combinations in small groups (and allegro certainly isnt my strong point, which was annoying!!) Glad your dd had a good time at Sleeping Beauty rehearsals, spannerandpony, its a lovely ballet x
  9. Mr Parker has taught me recently, and I have to say, he's a fabulous teacher, very enthusiastic! Congrats to all dd's who have been accepted to Midlands Associates- you'll have an awesome time! x
  10. What number was your dd, Lil? did she get in? I was number 156! but yes it was certainly a very interesting experience, and at least I know what to expect next time I audition! x
  11. wow, private lessons!! i wish my ballet teacher would do that for me (not asked her about 6th-form auditions yet!!) good luck for your auditions, hope it goes well for you x
  12. oh, thanks taxiforballet! i felt quite intimidated at Wolverhampton because there were over 160 auditionees- i wasnt expecting that many! x
  13. pointytoes22, do you mind if i ask what grade you are please? i'm in a similar situation to you- i've only really taken ballet seriously for about 18 months, going from 1 ballet class a week in early 2011,to 7 by the end of the summer term this year!! i hope to audition vocationally for 2014 entry, but am currently Inter/grade 6, will probably be advanced foundation/ grade 7 by audition time, does this sound about right to you? thanks x
  14. hi everyone, i am new to this forum having been reading your lovely posts for a while!! i auditioned for EYB Wolverhampton but didnt get in (possibly due to a last-minute application which meant I was right at the back!!) Can anyone give me any info about the Oxford auditions please? How many usually audition there? thanks
