Hi anaballerina,DD is a classical dancer so all mainly classical schools. How about your DD? X

Some but not all photos are in bare feet. It is a very confusion process as each school wants different photos in different shoes.

My DD was given the form at Summer School in August so prehaps the form has changed slightly. She has been offered an audition before Christmas.X

I read the Northern application form as just wanting 1 head and shoulders(which we sent it as a 6 by 4) and a full length shot( with feet together and arms by her sides facing the front.

I agree Tulip. Its Like looking into a crystal ball. All schools have a specific look and they all go for different things. My DD got 2 yes's out of 4 for Yr9 a couple of years ago. This year is her upper school auditions.X

When my DD & DS auditioned for the main 4. Hammond & Elmhurst videoed them Royal & Tring didn't. This was 3 years ago.X

There are 4 main schools before 16 but post 16 there are many more schools. It all depends what genres want to be studied. My DD already attends 1 of the 4 main lower schools so will audition to stay there which is normal practice. She is applying to the other 7 as she wants Ballet or Ballet with contemporary. X

3 years ago my DD & DS did their solo's in their audition cloths just wore correct shoes to match solo Genre. Both were offered a place and funding final.XX

Finally got over the photo issues and it all went through. That's 5 out of 8 schools sorted now! X

Year 11 showed Contemporary for 30mins then Ballet for an hour. Did anyone watch this? What was this like? X

When filling out the form yesterday it processed to 83% completed then I could not get the photos to add. Even if I didn't add any it said that the file was too big. If you can't add the photos it appears you can't save what you've done so far either. Anybody else had this problem? X

Ebony, it does feel a little odd for a while but it does get easier.

My DD went back today too. She is about to start her third year there. I tell myself when I miss her that its her dream and not many people get to live their dreams.X

Thankyou everyone for your advice. My DD is going for upper school auditions so is black or a colour leotard best? If a colour should it be one colour or two tone eg burgundy & black? Xx
