@Pas de Quatre do you know if they actually work to reduce pain? I’m working to a massively tight deadline so I’m choreographing constantly and it’s really taking its toll on my feet, some extra cushioning would be bliss!

Graham Fletcher and bbodance both offer boys programmes. Quite sure both are about to audition. Birmingham elmhurst associates have a boys class not sure about elsewhere ?

Has anyone heard yet about finals?

Not heard anything for year 7!

I know a teacher in Stoke on Trent?

White lodge girls are next week but the boys had their audition yesterday and today for the older years. I absolutely hate the wait it makes me so anxious!
-
The 2 week wait starts for results, I’m already pacing on day 1!

I’ve called about 2 JA auditions and 1 white lodge previously. The White Lodge one was less helpful than the JA one, felt that the WL one simply boiled down to when you’ve made it to finals there isn’t a lot of difference between all the candidates it just boils down to magic on the day.

You can call RBS as a teacher to ask for feedback on students after audition, they have notes on everyone.

I aren’t a fan of split sole ballet shoes on children, I find cheaper less “pro” leather ballet shoes have a sturdier sole and less pliable leather sides. I’ve mentioned on here before the awful shoes some of my students had on their uniform list for associates, they were cut so low at the sides and seemed to encourage rolling!

Thanks for that info @Pas de Quatre !

No experience with arch supports, but maybe try a more supportive ballet shoe, ie not split sole!

If COBRA make the decision to close UK schools I believe local dance schools would also have to close as I suspect public liability would stop providing cover?
