Terpsichore Posted April 10, 2015 Share Posted April 10, 2015 I am so sad to learn of the death of Richie Benaud this morning. He was one of the heroes of my childhood and adolescence. He captained Australia and was one of the most formidable bowlers of his day. After distinguishing himself on the cricket field he began a new career as a broadcaster. I regarded his commentaries as one of the most insightful of all. This clip from the BBC website records his achievements over half a century.
