I know its early on but many of the student accomodation states - book by 31st March to get best deal (nothing to pay until July!) 1. wondering if a genuine offer? And 2. Wondering where students of CSB (or prospective students) are looking to stay in 2024 please?

Hi there,  Central students tend to stay in a number of different student accommodation properties . There is one literally next door to the school - Paris Gardens IQ where quite a few stay but it’s a little more expensive than some others. I suppose it saves on tube/bus travel expenses and they’re home quickly after classes or on lunch breaks.
The cheapest we found (and a nice quality of accommodation) has been Drapery Place (Unite Students) which is a short tube ride + walk away from school . You can book shared rooms there for two people which are significantly cheaper and great if you know someone willing to share. The studio has two separate bed & desk areas cleverly sectioned off for privacy and a shared kitchenette and en-suite ! Our son has been happy to share and live there for three years and this has saved quite a lot of money over that time, but the twin rooms tend to get booked up quite quickly. There are also flats available at Drapery shared by up to six students all with their own private bedrooms & en-suites but sharing a large kitchen/ eating area - these are obviously a bit more expensive!
There are numerous other student accommodation companies and Central will happily provide you with a list of the ones commonly used by Central students.
I know some stay at Manna Ash, Bankside, Walmsley and Herbal Hill.
Central did share contacts for parents/guardians (who gave permission) which enabled us to set up a WhatsApp group and look at accommodation options together !
Hope this helps 😊

Loads of the second years live at Friendship house, they have single rooms or twin rooms available, but you do have to get your name down early as they get booked up fast especially if under 18.
