He was one of my favorite soloists at NYCB years ago! While certainly that would not today suit all companies as defined I'm certain it will - with right - be championed in the American capital. Wasn't lucky enough to see him in his dancing days but I have enjoyed all the ballets of his I've seen. Washington Ballet is also a marvellous company with a wonderful history- was lucky to see them on tour abroad a few times.
