Just spoken / email chatted re accommodation. New medlock. No flats free with others at mo. But they have offered a first floor flat 8 rooms 2 bathrooms. If I book it will be closed of to over 21 and recommended to others to try and build up nbs. But not guaranteed. Is anyone looking to book as my dd 16 is going to be first one in it if I book. Obs a risk but hopefully might be others yet to sort??? Fingers 🤞

My daughter has just had dada funding offer and will be 16, any advise on available property's that allow 16 year olds xxx

My daughter has been offered a dada for Northern balletvsept 2024. She's 16 May... just wanting to know if anyone else is same and where you have reserved. Also if you accept it but get offer else where can u cancel ??? Xxx She has one other fav place yet to here from ? But same time this is a high up choice so I'm confused . She has a dada offer from Stella man too but the area distance accomidation was concerning me so nbs is a better choice for us on that side. Xxxx any help advise appreciated

Good day Just wanted some thoughts feedback/ advise. My daughter is 15 (16 in may) and so far having fab time with auditions. We only started looking December and selected few will list below. Just wanted any views experiences on the below as I love to here from people with different views and experience . 1. Auditioned for The Hammond - diploma in dance l6. Sucessfull. Accepted on reserve dada list with fingers crossed. Reserved housing in tramways with fingers crossed. Daughters current fav. 2. Auditioned Northern Ballet Manchester- sucessful Accepted - dada sucess yet to hear (April time ) Looked at student flats - very busy very expensive, trying to wait it out and see if hear re dada. Daughter liked it here too. 3. Auditioned Italia Conti video audition. Recall given. Recall in person audition sent - we are competing in florida so asked for alternative date. Waiting to hear. Nervous on this as may provisionally right in gcses. Love the look of the halls here if sucessful. 4. Auditioned Stella Mann - Sucessfull audition- place offered. Diploma l6 dance. Fab feel. We're positive about dada funding as lots who go here are 18. Slightly urban feel. But close to London. Have to fill forms in and 60 register fee. 5. NDC - offered place. Btec l3 free course bit would need to stay as we are too far to commute. Very up and coming college. Excellent onwards colleges from graduates. But prefer the other 4. Did apply performers and addict couldn't do the audition dates emailed nothing back. Thoughts of colleges, dada movement. Accomidations . Colleges experience.... Thanks stressed out but proud mum. Dd got accepted to NBS was quite shocked as sooo many good classical students wanting the classical route option. Most were 17/18 too. NBS send dada offers out after first offer. So waiting for info. Dd loved it here too. But Hammond is still top at mo. But she really would go with which offered dada. Have wild card of Stella man audition in 2 weeks. Diploma course again. I have gone ahead with provisional booking n paying deposit on hammond recommendation of tramways- anyone else booked ? I have just gone bronze ensuite. NBS accomidation is quite a bit more and I would have to contact halls direct as 16 year old only aloud in some. Anyone booked in this age for Sept? Have done a online intal audition for italia conti too. But waiting to hear from this. I'm such a planner that I'm dying to just hopefully get funding and have one secured. So hard waiting .... #controlfreak

Hello , So just few quick asks as couldn't see a 2024 link... Dd is 3 auditions in with 3 offers on table, in limbo due to funding news dadas. As need this to commit to one. Currently have offers from : the hammond diploma l6 dance, NDC (nadeines dance company hartlepool) b tech course and just this Saturday a offer from NBS for diploma l6 dance. We are aware we can't fully choose till dada info (fingers crossed). Just wondered re accomidation. Hammond is now at tramways... so going to book n am I am lead to understand if no funding / doesn't go we won't be liable to contact. Should get 250 deposit back. NBS - again similar situation I just wondered if any 16 year old due to start potentially here , or 17, 18 year olds who are looking at accomidation. I think new medlock, dwell and artesian had spaces. But would like to try n get it with other potential new starters for here. She will go where gives funding but I don't want to get funding late and have no accommodation booked with her being younger end. She has also done the video audition for italia conti and we are doing an in person audition at stella man in 2 weeks. But with the 3 we have we are so happy so far. The btec is obs free but again she would have to stay there as we live in area with no colleges like this near by. But is our fail safe option. Good college though for anyone in North East. Audition standard was high with my dd saying the jazz tech was harder than hammond audition. It's such a long process and I'm such a planner it's hard to switch off. Waffled a bit there .... xxx

Hi good to hear, DD had her NBS audition this Saturday. So hoping this will open her eyes to other options out there. But obviously it's a gamble with time game with booking tramways now for hammond with optimistic hope for funding. And or wait for NBS after audition and also have stella man audition end of match all 3 are our favoured 3 year diploma dance. Mind slightly blown 😳... I am low income as is her step dad so we would defo be awarded help if dada offered. Hopefull and optimistic but it's hard to know what to do with accomidation etc 😕 xx

Thought I'd update, had the messages re bursary. And message with funding options. Still just hoping for dada offer later in the movement over spring / summer . One of dd fellow dance school friends has had dada/ funding offer its only one I've heard of but on Mt route. Wondered how everyone else might be feeling, getting on. Just had email saying no boarding on offer for 6th form anymore so to look at student accommodation . This obviously is a worry as will need to figure out how early needs booking and if a cancellation option if funding doesn't happen. Rather stressful, in mean time we have NBS audition a week sat and also Stella man end of march. Plus italia conti video to do. Hammond she's still in love with although the accommodation option changing has added bit more stress. Anyone is similar boat who will be looking a possible accommodation option but not sure on how this will work now with cancelling if no funding joy. Who knew this was stress full. Xxxx

It's hard but can only crack on with any other auditions and hope for news before summer time xxx @So-not-a-Dancemom do you know of anyone declined or with funding provisionally offered?....

So do you think they have said to most the same or picked the ones they will fund if they can. Them rest on reserve list ? .... xxx

Congrats everyone. My dd has been accepted on a place for diploma in dance but different to secondary, on the diploma letters it informs about funding. It's says she is on the reserve list for dada funding. Meaning others have been awarded above her. Diploma has no sign up fee so we are signed up in hope that we might get funding with movement. I emailed to ask if any indication of place on reserve list, but told a strong nope sorry. Few questions Do students actually get a no from diploma auditions??. Or is everyone accepted ? I'm happy but waiting game for us. Just wondered if anyone had info on if diploma students might decline places as much compared to younger end xxx

Just had a offer letter for dd age 15 for the 2024 dance diploma. Sept start, Obviously happy to have a yes. Only slight negative is we are on the dada reserve list. So a waiting game or lottery win. Few questions please xxx I've signed up / accepted in hope we might get funding offered through movement. Does anyone actually get a no ? Or is yes for all , funded and rest on reserved list ? How often do college ages get offered dada funding later? We have another offer on table and few auditions yet to do one being NBS. But dd is wanting this offer but as per most need the funding. Fingers crossed and waiting game now. Just wondered anyone is same boat. Has anyone been in similar position and got offered dada funding later. Has anyone got offer but potentially waiting on another college offer. I'm low income so I know I will meet criteria if offered it in future. Just trying to see how it normally pans out. Xxx
