  1. @Nicolamcaree thanks. I think my DD isn't a “natural” dancer and also she’s not even 8 until end of August, but she loves it so much. So i figure a bit more dance this year and see how she gets on. DD is also auditioning for ballet boost for September, so if she does get into that I’m sure that’ll help her as well. @sunrise81 sounds like your daughter IS a natural!! 🥰
  2. @sunrise81 @Nicolamcaree can I just ask- what level are your DDs? How much dance are they doing a week currently and when did they start dance? It seemed like the standard of dancers was really high. DD is started private lessons once a week, as well as one extra class (tap/modern) and will audition again next year if she’s progressed a lot now that we know the expected standard!!
  3. Ahh congrats! It’s a no for DD which I fully expected! We were not at all prepared 😂 maybe next year ❤️
  4. Same! Not hopeful at all, but just need to know for sure 😂 I'm wondering if they won’t come out today though because it’s the coronation.
  5. Any news yet? I’m pretty sure it’s a no over here we just need to know! 😂😂
  6. How quickly did ballet boost get results out after she auditioned? DD missed Manchester audition, but they’ve said she can still apply for September by video or attend an “in class” audition. I really want to see how the different classes are run. DD dance teacher wants to prep her for RBS next year, but I don’t want to put all her eggs in that basket when RBS places seem hardest to get!
  7. Anyone know what time the classes are ona Sunday for Ballet Boost associates in Manchester? DD is 7 going into year 4. She’s only in ballet grade 1 right now. She’s been doing 2 classes a week this year and has come on so much, so looking at auditioning for associates. Doubt she’ll get any this year as I don’t really know if she’s technically ready, but thought it would be good to get use to the process of auditioning and just focus on the fun experience!
  8. Just wondering if you know how many year 4s they took last year in Manchester or usually take? DD auditioned yesterday. I’m not hopeful though…think she needs some more lessons to catch up to the girls who have been competing/dancing since 2! She’d just started at 4, but only started properly at 6 bc of Covid.
  9. That was my thinking! I’m not sure she’s ready as she’s so young for her year, but thought it would be a fun way to introduce the audition process in a low pressure way! 🥰 A lot of people have said they do frog pose on their back. I have NO idea what this is!! Do you? 😂😂
  10. @Firecracker ah that is a shame. I’ve just put her application in this morning. One month til auditions! How much are the fees for the year? Can’t find it on the website!!
  11. Can anyone give any info on the YD fees at Elmhurst? I can’t find them on the website!
  12. Do they still do the jazz classes? I thought I read somewhere that they don’t do them anymore. Also DD would be in Manchester if she gets in so it might be different to Birmingham
  13. Anyone have a child applying/auditioning for Manchester this year? My DD will be 8 in august, year 4 in sept. Just wondering if they still do the jazz classes or if it’s just ballet?
