  1. I live in Toronto and just saw this show last week. It was very creative but I found it a bit unfocussed and overly long. I heard some sighs in the audience and unfortunately I don't think they were sighs of delight 🙁. If Pite and Young had cut down the length by at least a third and made the storytelling more pithy, it would have kept my attention a lot better. The best parts for me were when the performers were doing extended dance sequences as they were beautiful and skilled dancers. On the other hand, I admit I do have a short attention span!
  2. Thank you Alison - some interesting and original ideas here!
  3. Hi Stevie, separating the DVDs from the cases/booklets sounds like an excellent solution to preserve the discs. If you're really ambitious, maybe you could even scan the booklets and save digitally, but that would be a ton of work. Anyway, I'm sure the cataloguing will get done eventually and will be well worth the effort. Good luck!
  4. Hello Stevie, just reading your post now... I can relate to having too many things and having to store outside of my home (in my case an apartment)! Just please do be careful about using your shed as storage if it isn't temperature / humidity controlled and *if* the recordings are precious to you as even plastic will deteriorate under extreme conditions over time. DVDs also have that metallic layer inside which again can deteriorate. (I work at an archives and we sometimes receive donation offers of items which sadly have been stored in less than ideal conditions.) Something to consider, but I get that the shed may be the most viable option at this time 🙂
  5. Thank you so much Jan. I've been lurking for ages and look forward to participating!
  6. Yes - I remember that! The opening credits showed just the feet of a dancer stepping on pointe to that music. I think it was in the 1970s
